They have made two derisory offers and that is insulting; yes, we should be disgusted, as they are wasting everyone's time.
We get derisory offers for players every day of the transfer window, the difference is these bids have been made public.

I think that's a bit hyperbolic.
We may get enquiries every day but that's not the same thing as formal bids.

Besides...Ehaw likes to make everyone overpay...fans, potential new owners and other football clubs when buying our players! Brady, Long & Chester spring to mind

Don't really know what to make of that.
He does to others what Daniel Levy does to him.
Bummers used to work in football so I don't think it's hard to believe him when he says that there are a lot of bids flying around that the public don't hear about.
As for West Ham and Snodgrass, I just don't get the problem. If the bids are too low, so what? We've turned them down. From their point of view he's the best player at a basketcase club. It's logical for them to think that he might want out and that they can get him relatively cheap. It's only a couple of million less than we paid for him anyway.
We'd complain if City just flew in with overpriced offers for players without trying to get the price down first. I don't get why we're meant to be angry at other clubs trying to get the best deal as we'd expect ours to. Makes us look a bit whiny I think.
Because West Ham are doing it to numerous clubs in an attempt to turn players' heads. We aren't the only set of fans they've pissed off so not quite sure why you're trying to put down our supporter base. Pretty much everyone thinks they're a laughing stock.
And if we really were receiving daily 'derisory' bids, we'd either put none or all of them out into the press, to either jack up a player's price in a bidding war, or ignore entirely. I have no idea why we'd publicly reject some but not others which is why I'm not sure if Bummers is confusing official inquiries with formal bids. Being in Australia though, clearly I have everything upside down.![]()
I think Bummers would understand how this works better than almost anyone on here.
I don't think that we're the ones talking about these offers. Seems like West Ham are for some reason doing all their business in public. I can understand why that might annoy the clubs they're trying to buy from, but really if they want to unsettle a player they can do that in private. Look at Payet and Marseille.

You sure???
I thought we played rock-paper-scissors in a best of three, but lost. So King thingy at the time got pissed off and told the military bigwigs to apply a boot to their rear end, kick them out and claim the land for the King of England...
Lets be fair we used to kick a lot of backsides in those days. though I may have got it wrong.

Doesn't the saying go "if you're not embarrassed by your first offer, you've offered too much?"
