I'm sure the Trust would welcome someone trying to step in front of them if it benefited the fan base.

    Lol JK!

I still think Geoff could do a good job. It would be important to keep the rest away though.

I think it's more a response to the situation he finds himself in; he knows he needs to recover his position and more, new, confidants are telling him the supporters are more important than he believed.

Yes he a a tad better at keeping on message, but not much; his business acumen appears to be zilch.

He admitted to believing the club was all but sold, hence his program notes; there's no need to think he did.

There's no evidence that Chien Lee has got any actual cash and would be better for the club?

You mean apart from the fact that he's got a net worth of £1.2b and has been a brilliant owner at OGC Nice?

Peter Grieve walked away from a deal with us, having had an agreed price reneged on three times, the failure of that deal had absolutely nothing to do with its funding.

The Yorkshire Post article hints, and no more than hints, that dialogue is possible. Supporters representatives listening to Ehab Allam speaking is a small price to pay in the grand scheme of things even if it results in us being no further forward. It may, and I repeat, may, result in a way forward being found.

You'd be flabbergasted at what people on here can object to! No you really would. And some of them are arguing the exact opposite within 5 posts and swearing they're not on a semantic technicality. I'm sticking to opinions and avoiding facts its safer.....that's an opinion by the way not a fact.

That's just your opinion. Where's the evidence the Allams weren't concerned about how Peter Grieve intended to fund the purchase?

Did Peter Grieve walk away, or did the Allams turn him down?

    Not opinion.

A wasted opportunity for Ehab if he really did want to have some kind of dialogue with fans

Imagine if he'd admitted to making some mistakes especially concerning the membership scheme and concessions

Wouldn't make any difference with some.

A full written apology, change of name on social media and the reintroduction of concessions wouldnt move some. Notably directors of the Trust and some members.

Shame some can be so intransigent really.

<laugh> If you chose to believe that I didn't actually know what was going on with some of these deals, that's entirely up to you.

You know perfectly well there's no official link, just as I can't provide a link to the conversation I had with my missus about what we're having for tea tonight.

You don't half post some ridiculous bollocks.

The Trust posted an open letter to Ehab in August 2015, imploring him to put the name change behind us and engage in open dialogue with the fans. They've regularly made that offer again since and I'm sure it will be reiterated in response to this article.

    It will be ignored.

Peter Grieve walked away just like Steve Bruce walked away. My opinion is the Allams got the result they wanted in both cases.

Everything you say is correct; but now there is a need for a sale, a desire for a sale, and the owners jave an incentive to listen.

I always thought the OSC was a noble, but flawed supporter effort, led by that muppet, Mooney; but tell me, what is there to lose by the Trust making a well consider, and controlled, conciliatory move to test reaction?

Edit: Sorry, I meant the ad hoc group invited by the club, many off here.

So you're actually stating that the Trust has no directors and no members who want rid of the Allams regardless of what happens now and who are not prepared to forget and move on?

    Kinell.

I've repeatedly said I think, and in fact hope, Geoff can do something. It'd be best to keep the pitchfork waving dribblers away mind.

The sort that would turn up fully kitted out in AllamOut attire.
