The only opportunity is a ceasefire while we back Silva & the teams fight against relegation. The fanbase and club cannot fully unite until we have new ownership.

It's nothing more than a shabby attempt to blame the fans for his own failings.

This was exactly my first thought too.
The only other thing that's interesting me is what's prompted it. What was the point of this interview from Ehab's point of view? He sure as **** wasn't doing it for anyone else's benefit.

To be fair he's not wrong about trying to sell, they accepted an offer, the PL were the ones to block it, not the Allams.
Have only just read the article. Where exactly is this alleged olive branch? He says in clear terms that he has made his mind up, without meeting them, that fans don't want to understand. And he only wants to speak to people who want to understand. Catch Allamty-2.
That's a really convenient excuse for the Allams and their fans, but the Dai family were prepared to go ahead without the consortium member who failed the test yet the Allams then pulled out, pocketing the deposit and freeing them up to negotiate with someone else. The Dais are trying to buy Reading instead, and will have to pass the F&PP test to do so.
The Allams considered the club worth more after we won our opening two games of the season, lost the third in the last minute, and drew the fourth. Yes that's a bit ****ty of them in hindsight with us now in the relegation zone, but at the time we all thought we were looking ok, and Phelan won manager of the month. If the Allams suddenly thought "Hang on, maybe the club's worth a bit more" and the Dai's then pulled out, that's hardly worth tearing hair out over.
They clearly want to sell, really not sure how that can be disputed.
Those results you mentioned happened well before the F&PP test.
The price was already agreed, all that mattered was that somehow, they'd managed to convince the Dais to part with a non-refundable deposit of several million quid which was tied to an exclusivity period. That period expired because of the delays in the F&PP test. Meaning the Allams saw dollar signs and realised they could negotiate all over again with new parties and still keep the deposit. A few million quid for doing nothing. We probably wouldn't have even heard about a problem with the test if both parties had wanted to resolve the issue and carry on. The PL and FA never announced anything remember.
Their motivation to sell can be disputed because several bidders have pulled out, citing the Allams' absurd demands and questioning their motivation to sell. And of course because only a day after our promotion to the Premier League they were shouting about reviewing whether they were motivated to sell.
Whether or not that's a right or moral practice can be debated all day, but what I was addressing was the claim that anyone other then the Allams are to blame for them still being here. If they wanted to sell to the Dais, they absolutely could have. Same with Lee, same with Grieve, and probably same with the others we don't know about yet.
