No, it isn't with my German neighbours. It means I'm not arguing about politics over Christmas.
Debating is much more civilised than arguing, maybe could be your new year's resolution?

The change of voting intentions to Remain equates to a shift of some 46 percentage points based on our March poll – and a shift of 21 percentage points based on the actual referendum vote in the region.
This poll of 10,000 people shows that what happened in June was no more than a snapshot of opinion on that day. This was taken in a region that voted to leave. 86% said that they were not happy with the way that May was conducting matters and 73% didn't think we would leave the EU by April 2019. By a 52/48 margin they wanted their MPs to vote as they were elected to. 11 out of 14 stood for election on a remain platform.
Any election or referendum is only a snapshot of opinion or that day, that is the way it works. The vast majority of MP's have already voted by an overwhelming majority to trigger 50 by March 2017, so effectively the horse has already bolted. Perhaps the MP's can vote on the preferred colour of the UK passport cover after Brexit.
Many a twist to come yet SH.. Hope that your union jack mankini is in your stocking.![]()
I'm observing a truce for Christmas - if my granddad could do it in the trenches in 1916 I can do it now (though it's difficult).
My family bought me Enid Blyton's "FIVE ON BREXIT ISLAND" for xmas.
Do they think I need to learn the basics?
Well there is clearly more to it, much more than the 'economic' analysis you roll out all the time...
I was wondering which 'bright spark' I could set up, not surprised it was you.
Well you have again revealed your game SH
People like you are left to play alone in the playground at school

Cut out this kind of crap SH ! Posts which are designed only to belittle other members of the board are not welcome here. This board is not the place to be playing out your childish wish for gaining attention, and provoking reaction.Congratulations. You have managed two sentences.

You really need to look at your childish comments matey.
I suggest you take a look at yourself SH.
It is YOUR comments .....
What do you call your comment "people like you are left to play alone in the playground at school"
Language like this from you is pretty juvenile most people would say. We don't need it on this board.
I am trying to draw attention to your behaviour SH.. so hopefully you can see it for what it is.
You at every turn seek to attract attention to yourself by certain behaviour.
For example the Christmas present BREXIT comment... which you seemed to delight in...
Seems you have neither the level of relationship or goodwill from other posters here to play such games and be accepted...
All of that is so reminescnet of the boy who ends up playing alone at school.
You just don't seem to get that each message board has a culture and a way of doing things and to be part of the group you need to take that on board...
Or if you wish carry on inciting me and others.... your choice
You need to look at your own sarcastic comments, what you are really looking for is an anti-Brexit love in. The culture on this board should not include insults from the likes of you.
(1) I prefer humour to sarcasm
(2) I have never been to a love-in.... total invention of the media actually.
(3) yes I am clearly anti--Brexit
(4) I am not someone who insults for fun. I rarely do it. If you actually took an interest in the other threads you would see that.
(5) I was actually a founder member of this board.
Now....
will you look at your behaviour?
