Debating is much more civilised than arguing, maybe could be your new year's resolution?

Any election or referendum is only a snapshot of opinion or that day, that is the way it works. The vast majority of MP's have already voted by an overwhelming majority to trigger 50 by March 2017, so effectively the horse has already bolted. Perhaps the MP's can vote on the preferred colour of the UK passport cover after Brexit.

The famous truce was in 1914 - the Germans wanted Christmas Day truces in 1916 and 1917 but the British refused. It may be that those in charge who were nowhere near the front line may not have wanted a truce, but those in the trenches did.

My family bought me Enid Blyton's "FIVE ON BREXIT ISLAND" for xmas.

Do they think I need to learn the basics?

Well there is clearly more to it, much more than the 'economic' analysis you roll out all the time...

Cut out this kind of crap SH ! Posts which are designed only to belittle other members of the board are not welcome here. This board is not the place to be playing out your childish wish for gaining attention, and provoking reaction.

I (along with my sons) are the only members of my family that live outside Britain and I appreciate reading reasoned debate on this forum, even if statistics may be inaccurate as until Britain is outside the EU, no-one can know what will definitely happen. I get a sense from the debate of how my family may be affected, one way or the other, or how I would be should I have to return. Given that, I find it extremely frustrating when things descend into insults - I expect better from Watford fans.

What do you call your comment "people like you are left to play alone in the playground at school"

Language like this from you is pretty juvenile most people would say. We don't need it on this board.

I am trying to draw attention to your behaviour SH.. so hopefully you can see it for what it is.

You at every turn seek to attract attention to yourself by certain behaviour.

For example the Christmas present BREXIT comment... which you seemed to delight in...

Seems you have neither the level of relationship or goodwill from other posters here to play such games and be accepted...

All of that is so reminescnet of the boy who ends up playing alone at school.

You just don't seem to get that each message board has a culture and a way of doing things and to be part of the group you need to take that on board...

Or if you wish carry on inciting me and others.... your choice

You need to look at your own sarcastic comments, what you are really looking for is an anti-Brexit love in. The culture on this board should not include insults from the likes of you.

    (1) I prefer humour to sarcasm
    (2) I have never been to a love-in.... total invention of the media actually.
    (3) yes I am clearly anti--Brexit
    (4) I am not someone who insults for fun. I rarely do it. If you actually took an interest in the other threads you would see that.
    (5) I was actually a founder member of this board.

    Now....
will you look at your behaviour?

Being a founder member does not excuse you from insulting other posters. You clearly insult for fun please kindly refrain.
