He was given several chances and didn't really take them, but he did score a goal from a loose ball in the area. There's some talk of Liverpool recalling him in January. I think it’s clear that he was certainly down the list of options that we wanted for that area and being late in the window we took a gamble. It’s fairly well documented that his club mate Ben Doak was our top priority, he would have been some player for us.
Given that Barnes will not be replaced, it's possible that Aboh might be seen as a striker option for the rest of the season, though he only made 3 sub appearances for Stevenage.
According to Soccerbase statistics, he had 3 appearances in League One, 3 in the League Trophy and 1 in the FA Cup. No mention of the 8th.

The communication is great, he’s always talking to me, and we had enough to see the game through. As an older, experienced player, he is a massive influence. I don’t think he ever stops talking! That’s a real positive; he’s always telling me to scan or do this and do that. I also try to be vocal and speak too but, as a young player, I’m always listening, listening, listening. I want to take everything on board, because his influence is next level. Learning off the experienced players, Deccy (Gallagher) as well, is massive for my own development and career."
I am eager to see how this lad develops. Every step he has taken since joining us has been a positive and successful one. I can't help but think that we have a future star on our hands, but can we keep him if this progress continues?
