Adegboyega doing well at Dundee Utd:

"Norwich City centre-back Emmanuel Adegboyega has bounced back from adversity to reach new heights in his impressive loan spell at Dundee United. Adegboyega joined the Terrors this summer on a year-long deal having made his mark with League Two Walsall last term, and has already become a regular starter north of the border. He made the Irish under-21 squad for the first time in October and has already registered 13 appearances for United, whose manager Jim Goodwin described his last as “his best performance in a Dundee United shirt”."

I think it’s clear that he was certainly down the list of options that we wanted for that area and being late in the window we took a gamble. It’s fairly well documented that his club mate Ben Doak was our top priority, he would have been some player for us.

Emanuel Adegboyega on his development at Dundee Utd:

"I was very happy with my own performance, playing in a back four rather than a three, but having Kev (Kevin Holt) beside me makes that a lot easier. The communication is great, he’s always talking to me, and we had enough to see the game through. As an older, experienced player, he is a massive influence. I don’t think he ever stops talking! That’s a real positive; he’s always telling me to scan or do this and do that. I also try to be vocal and speak too but, as a young player, I’m always listening, listening, listening. I want to take everything on board, because his influence is next level. Learning off the experienced players, Deccy (Gallagher) as well, is massive for my own development and career."

I am eager to see how this lad develops. Every step he has taken since joining us has been a positive and successful one. I can't help but think that we have a future star on our hands, but can we keep him if this progress continues?
