What with Jacob and Calton getting on the scoresheet, plus our U21's signing Alofabi Coker, it seems like there's enough going on that we might benefit from a thread to follow it all. Josh Murphy was an unused sub for MK Dons.
I understand Carlton is doing very well at Hamilton - be interesting to get an update from our friendly Hamilton Correspondent. Wasn't the goal scored by Jacob a cracker!!!
Yep, Jacobs goal really was something. A short corner ending up with Jacob cutting across the 18 yard box and firing his shot right in the top corner. It really was a great goal and I have to say it seems both Jacob and Josh have that sort of goal as something they can produce which is nice to see.
Seems as though they're both relishing their loans and who knows, they may feature in the first team squad in time!!!
I see Josh scored a debut extra time winner for MK Dons and McGeehan scored a last minute equaliser for Luton...add that to last weekend's goals and Toffolo's decent debut for us makes a great start to the season for our FA Youth cup winners!
Great goal form Morris - It might just be me or the youtube quality, but it looks like he does a faint shimmy which is what makes the CB step away and give him the space to push forward?
Odjidja got 90 and Andreu 70 mins as Rotherham drew 1-1 with Charlton. Both had shots saved according to the BBC write up. Turner was an unused sub for Wednesday. Josh Murphy got 90 mins as MK Dons lost as Middlesbrough. Jacob got 54 mins in a 1-0 defeat for Coventry. Morris got 80 mins for Hamilton in the SPL. The latest installment of Rickywatch is due at 9pm, when Real Betis play Real Sociedad. Van den Vaart has said midweek that he's been impressed with our Ricky, and backs him to score a lot of goals. Have I missed anyone?
You're not wrong. Unusually for a goalkeeper, he was subbed on in the 24th minute, them kept a clean sheet. If the injury to their first choice was significant, more minutes for Remi might be in the cards. It was tight between them for first choice as it was.
