Fair enough if people decided ultimately that a Brexit is preferable.

But this decision needs to be taken on the basis of clear facts, evidence (as much as it is available) and reasonable estimates and calculations. It would be appalling if Britain took such an important decision based on who shouts loudest and who can reach people's basest instincts. Ultimately it will be the ordinary people who will suffer. The richest will hardly be affected.

When you have the most extreme Tory right wingers (completely anti public sector and anti-NHS) saying that £350m saved would be put back into the NHS, you know that the dam has burst and that there is no limit to the untruths that can and will be said.

Faisal Islam, sky journalist mentioned 3rd world war as a result of Euro vote. However, wonder it will start in Britain.

Utter nonsense just like the In campaign saying we will be more open to attacks etc.

Have they forgotten that we are still a key member of NATO and that our security services are the best in the world.

This is the problem, the clear facts are unavailable.
That's because, as with most things, there are very few clear facts. All predictions of the future are based on conjecture.
I would just ask that everyone is honest with themselves about the reasons for their decision and not try to dress it up with some spurious logic.
It's a big decision, it will have an enormous impact on our nation (and others) for the foreseeable future.

Our influence within NATO would be diminished if we exit the EU imo and 5 former NATO secretary generals and 13 former US Secretaries of State agree...

How will our influence in NATO diminish? We have the best intelligence services and best armed forces in the world. It's just further scaremongering from those who will lose out if we leave the EU.

The Americans can get stuffed on the subject too. Would they be blackmailed into giving up their sovereignty? Absolutely not.

Oh dont be sorry. Tbh what you said wasnt that bad. I think we are all grown up and mature enough not to be bogged down in insults. I just meant diegos sarcy post was just a direct retaliation. Some of the stuff being said about the brexiters in many of the european threads on not606 is pretty bad and insulting. Yours hasnt even been a touch on those :emoticon-0150-hands

You hinting at our thread Bobby? ;)

The biggest problem with this entire debate is that on one side you have Gove, Boris and Farage and on the other yiu have Osborne, Cameron and Blair.

It's a case of who do you believe is telling the least amount of lies.

Who's being blackmailed into giving up their Sovereignty?

We've stead fastly refused to even consider a federal Europe and have never had any intention of joining the Euro. That's Boris level piffle.

No you guys are very pro brexit, there's no proper slagging off of brexiters there (maybe Dai but his is just calling you dumb), more the southampton board and a few on here which are basically calling us ******ed like waynetta, or racist like farage (not sure where i sit with him, i haven't really looked into what he has said)

America saying they won't do trade deals, big husinesses and banks saying thousands of jobs will ve lost because they'll move their companies etc.

What about the scandelous TTIP deal that's coming in?

What's that go to do with Sovereignty?

They're spelling out the consequences if we bail out of the European Union, which is and always has been - primarily - a trade alliance.

What about the other 14%?

It's a yes or no poll <laugh>

I assume they're the 'floaters'. Of those who are currently undecided I'd suggest that they're more likely to opt for the safe option, than the risky course.

The 'outers' are more like to be entrenched imo, so that poll should give us hope tbh

I think they went summary? Arsed? And went to KFC

45% out at this point which is probably just coming to the 2 week mark is prob the most accurate poll going.

Ergo... at best we can hope for is a close run thing.

They're trying to blackmail us into staying. **** the banks, they're only looking after their own interests.

Exactly Tobes, it was a trade alliance but it is now becoming a political alliance. Nobody voted for that. The Euro is dead and will crumble soon, we need to remain out of it before it drags us down. Why should we fund and then be helt to ransom by other countries?
