I certainly think it's an optimistic plan, that's what happens after decades of neglect in our armed forces.

We're a small fish in a big pond and any peacekeeping plan involving troops would need to involve our European neighbours.

A president who is only interested in making a name for himself in the history books (he's already done that to be fair), supported by a megalomaniac man child who's own self interests will come before anything else.

They aren't an ally of anyone and we're probably closer to a major global conflict than ever before.

Appointing someone like Musk to have a go at the US Govt.infrastructure is a master stroke. It's obvious to almost everyone that Civil Service costs are astronomic and way out of proportion to the benefits they provide for the disadvantaged,let alone the taxpayer. It's completely evident here in the UK and even more so in the EU. Social, PC policy and frequent,almost unintelligible legislation has gone beyond sensible and acceptable levels. Trump knows it and is doing something about it..... Govt.here and in Europe need to take note and to understand why the current swing to the right is a very attractive alternative for many in their electorate,before it's too late.

Musk sacked 500 people in the department of energy National Nuclear Safety Adminstration because he didn't know that they are the ones who's main job is to maintain the American nuclear weapons stockpile. Hardly a masterstroke.

There are many young fit fighting age men entering the country illegally under the pretence that they are coming here because they love the UK and the opportunities it presents, lets present them with the opportunity to train and protect the UK if they love it that much. Off the boats into a training camp then onwards to the Ukraine border to protect the UK and its allies. Would solve 2 problems quickly. I reckon the boats will stop landing on these shores very quickly.

Too right- always wondered how many, even if given citizenship, would volunteer to fight for us if necessary. (and bearing in mind apparently they are here running away from conflict) Meanwhile , they will remain to fight us, our culture and everything on our streets, while our actual soldiers are away in another country.
THis country gets more unbelievable by the day

The last few days have highlighted and underlined how important it is for all of Nato and friendly nations aliened to Nato get together very very quick. America is now acting like a rogue nation with Trump in charge. The way he is now using all Putins language to undermine Zelensky, To call him the guy a "Dictator" is unbelievable given he is cozying up to the worst Dictator of all in Putin. I feel sorry for America these days
