I'm guessing we're meant to be taking notice of China doing military drills near Taiwan.

Its always been a matter of time before China forcibly takes Taiwan. Not saying this is the moment, but it will happen.

Was it Einstein who said something like ‘ I don’t know how World War 3 will be fought but I know how World War 4 will be. With sticks and stones’.

Does anyone think Putin would risk any nuclear option in Ukraine ? For me, I just don't see it happening. The risk that Russia would experience total wipeout is a risk I don't think even this madman would take a chance on.
Maybe I'm wrong, I hope I am....but I see Putin as a guy (like his Dumpty fat friend from North Korea) who sabre rattles with empty threats. The rhetoric has ramped up recently, but I don't see a point where he would use nukes... If he did... It would goodbye Russia...sadly goodbye the rest of the world.

I have serious doubts Russia's nuclear program is even close to operational. They're most likely cold war nukes at best and I'm sure the funding will have been filtered elsewhere, into certain people's pockets most likely. I can guarantee they're not maintained or serviced anywhere near as often as ours are.

The UK defense system is also very good, their would be fallout but we'd detect it in time and shoot them down before anything got close. All in my humble opinion of course.

It is such a huge landmass, even if Moscow was completely took out, they will have thousands of miles eastwards.`

It wouldn't surprise me if he acts before January, knowing that January is likely going to be a time of de escalation.

An alternative scenario is that Ukraine faced with overwhelming force are on the brink of defeat and decide to attack Russian nuclear missile sites to inflict maximum devastation.

On news today '' both sides escalating in order to gain as much as possible before Trump takes over'' So if that means both are expecting to be made to negotiate by him- can they not just say, ok he's not sworn in yet, but he definitely is going to be president , so lets save lives and save others having involvment and get him over now to sort us out

Attacking Ukraine with conventional arms arguably isn't within the scope of the Budapest Memorandum. Nuking Ukraine is unequivically within the scope of that treaty so GB and USA would have to act.

China and India would step away from their tacit support of Putin.

It is likely that the UN might be forced to suspend Russia from voting in the Security Council and in the General Assembly.

Over and above the issue that Ukraine being so close that Russia could be badly affected by radioactive fallout, all of the above would be a massive problem resulting from any Russian nuclear weapon use in Ukraine. I couldn't really see Russia nuking Ukraine.

The Israelis have taken Mount Hermon in Syria btw, if you think all of this stuff is biblical claptrap bollocks the most advisable thing you can do is begin to understand that extremely powerful people with untold influence and billions believe it and can bring it about.
