I don’t see any reason for Putin to stop at the western border of Ukraine either. But I think the Americans would come in to help us to kick his arse back to Moscow if he set foot in Europe. If he decides to keep going I don’t see what or who can stop him before he has taken a considerable portion of Europe. I know nato has been training for such an eventuality for years, but the question is, is there sufficient equipment and men to stop them? How long will it take the U.S. to react and get numbers into the continent? They are capable of massive airlifts if the will is there. But Is it? Will we see American public opinion take the stance of their forefathers and ask why spill American blood in foreign wars? Has Americas gung-ho attitude changed after Vietnam? I’m sure we will be ok and that I’m being unduly pessimistic, but Russia frightens me. I admit it. They are as powerful as America on the ground and there isn’t an ocean for them to cross. And the last thing we want to see is atomic weapons involved - not even limited atomic weapons. And I’m probably wrong, but maybe this possibility is keeping nato from jumping in to protect Ukrainian. That would give the Russians an excuse to continue. Sorry lads, for this miserable outlook. I’m getting these doubts out there so those who are clever than me can shoot them down in flames and make me feel a little easier. The thought of China supporting Russia and bringing on their sattelite nations is a nightmare. Right lads, please demolish over imaginative speculations.
if Europe falls to communism America becomes very isolated they know that.
