I don’t see any reason for Putin to stop at the western border of Ukraine either. But I think the Americans would come in to help us to kick his arse back to Moscow if he set foot in Europe. if Europe falls to communism America becomes very isolated they know that.
Belarus are on the Russian side but it gets complicated...Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are all NATO members.
Aye they are proper on the fence, at least they didn’t fully back him. China will continue to watch closely to see if they can get away with something similar. They did after all tell Taiwan only yesterday they are safe…pretty sure Putin told Ukraine that too less than a week ago.
Yeah it looks as if Putin (prostitute in french) has gone 'full tonto' the only thing that stops a bully is to fight back. I am not sure how good and well equipped the Ukraine forces are?
For the Americans to engage it would require a president who is sentient , engaged and able. Clearly none of these are the case, which is one off the main reasons for the timing of this. And, as those making decisions in the US at the moment are both unknown , untested and almost certainly on the left to a bit further left of politics there, no-one on should expect too much. An aggressor attacks when his foes are weak. The US has never in it's history been weaker.

I honestly don't think he'd be stupid enough to go nuclear, at least I hope he isn't! He must know that to do so wouldn't just potentially wipe out a nation but the retaliation on Russia would be immeasurable. I'm also confident in our defences against any form of nuclear strike as well tbh mate.
