Can't see the point in playing a second string - keep the momentum going and get the team gelling together
agree
especially against another champ side
we've not won a cup game since 2021 i think

i hope our aim is not promotion
surely any sensible decisions would be, aiming for promotion next
good season this, and strengthen more in the next few transfer windows.. but.. we might be 9th in the league come jan, acun will come and spend £15m probably..![]()

Has the embargo been lifted? Or is it Acun spinning his usual crap?i hope our aim is not promotion

All a bit sad regarding the FA cup. Round three was always eagerly anticipated and usually drew a decent crowd.Serious question, do we even care about the FA cup? I do, but does the owner etc?
If our sole aim is promotion (how likely that is, time will tell) and if money is no problem (it is), then surely this is another needless distraction and potential for injuries.
They are claiming Jobseekers Allowance?Neither William or Akintola will be involved tomorrow, they haven't been signed off yet.
I’d keep Kamara in, but apart from that, yeah, the rest seems sensible.I’d be keeping Joseph up front.
We all know he’s going to be dropped for the weekend so give him this couple of games run to see what he can do.
Start Palmer behind him, rest Crooks. Change the CBs. Start Ndala and rest Kamara.
I'd expect a LOT of changes, no one really cares about this comp anyway do they?
Phillips
Drameh/Williams - Egan - Famewo - Giles/Williams
McCarthy - Gelhardt - Palmer
Tinsdale - McBurnie - Brown
Mins for new signings McBurnie and Gelhardt important, assuming Williams has signed to play either LB or RB and some more opportunities for Tinsdale and McCarthy. As someone mentioned on the Cov thread, interesting that Vaughan didn't even make the bench where McCarthy and Tinsdale had done, so expect those 2 to feature from the start as well as Brown, another opportunity for him to try and impress - one i'm not sure on is Destan - no idea if he's fit or not - would expect to see him get mins off the bench at the very least
As the highest crowd for a final since 2008 has been 89,000 and the lowest 81,000 it seems quite a lot care about. Maybe it is a Hull thing? We took a paltry 1,500 to Old Trafford for a semi-final but the season before Boro took 10,500 there for a quarter final.
Yep it's only a Hull thing. The FA Cup has famously maintained its magic everywhere except for Hull.
Not really, it's not what it once was, maybe hasn't been a big thing for 15-20 years now. For top half prem teams, it's a genuine chance of a trophy, from L1 down a chance of a glamour tie, a giant killing.....bit for championship teams and teams looking to avoid relegation it's a distraction you don't really needSerious question, do we even care about the FA cup? I do, but does the owner etc?

Sir Les Mutrie, thanks. All a bit sad regarding the FA cup. Round three was always eagerly anticipated and usually drew a decent crowd.
Great replays against Blyth Spartans and the subsequent signing of Les Mutrie.
He's not a mile off though.dont think furlong is even in the picture really
