I want a strong team and a convincing win to make up for an awful cup game against them (possibly 2004) and losing on penalties. All the away fans did all match was shout Wrexham repeatedly, fair play to them for turning up mid week but they still hated just the one chant all match

They have two now, the other one is...

"DEADPOOL, DEADPOOL, DEADPOOL" repeatedly.

I can't remember the last time we played them but do remember an FA Cup defeat on pens at their place during the arse end of the Dolan era (1996 maybe?)

I know the whole “minutes in the legs are important” schtick gets put out for the EFL Cup, but having not progressed in the last five years, it would be nice to put a strong team out and get into the second round for once.

Play the same team as Saturday, with Destan (if fit) for Joseph and Brown in for Kamara.

If we get through and get a PL team, it’s gate receipts for us. If we get a crap team from L2, it’s a chance to get to the third round and get a huge tie.

Destan out for circa 2 weeks according to Baz.

Already fears of another spirally Sinik type cycle emerging

1995, 0-0 aet, lost 3-1 on pens.

Drove from London, got there 15 minutes after KO on a foggy night. Had to bang on gate to get in. Long drive back. Good times we had!!

I recall a match where they were in serious trouble and were collecting money outside the ground we gave what we could to help like others did for us .
We went to their Fans United Day, at their ground, in 2005 v Doncaster. Fans from lots of clubs in England and Scotland turned up, and the attendance was around six and a half thousand, 'where were they when they were ****'? :emoticon-0138-think

The season we were in league one going up was the last time we played them at the Racecourse. We went up and had the Premier League adventures and they went down and went into a spiral into Non-League.
We had the Mold Road end then , behind the goal and think it was 2-2. Nowadays away fans are stuffed into a corner as per..Same season they beat us on pens at the KC in maybe the auto windscreens or whatever it was called

I think we should still play a strong side but starts for McCarthy, Tinsdale and Brown. Also give starts to Phillips, Egan and Famewo.
