Just feel it's going to be a high scoring tournament for no reason that the quality of attacks by mile outwiegh the quality of defence. I think defences and whole working units will do well as they have a bit more about them for a long haul. Think Poland will do well on that as they seem pretty good all over the park though not really excelling in any one division.

So many teams are going to crumble under attacks this summer, Such is the attacking talent and the defences look a bit below par. But the Polish and more so the Germans look very well equipped to deal with what's coming attacking wise. Still fancy francy like. Just think the few with solid defences are going to well in what's going to be a very high scoring tournament.

Defence is underrated but it's not lost on the Germans and Polish

France have one of the best defensive set ups as well, including a top, top keeper in Lloris.

I just can’t see past them personally.

Same

My only worry with France is which Pogba is going to turn up cause you know he starts no matter what and I find him a hot and cold player. Over then that they've got two sets of reserves after their 1st team who could compete and challenge for this trophy. The depth is scary. So much quality didn't even make the plane.

Insane mate. And Varane sits at the back knocking 60 yard passes for fun.

Best hold on mid in the world, rapid wingers full of tricks, and great options of totally different strikers.

Pogba isn’t nailed on to play, not by any stretch.

If it wasn't for their manager I'd agree. I honestly think he's poor.

Do you think. I know in my head and obviously your he's not a nailed on starter, just think he will be, and fair play if he shows the form he's capable off. Sun just doesn't shine out of his arse for me. Not nearly as consistent enough.

He isn’t. Ability wise he’s up there with anyone in the world, application and attitude wise he’s miles off.

If he has a big tournament and Griezmann and Fekir perform then wow they will be something.

What quality manager do you need when you're that good? Even with Real and Barca, don't get the manager jizz, both teams have won a lot with average coaches. When you're that good, I believe they can organise themselves. More so in natrional management cause you're picking from a pool rather than a budget.

Bet that's why Spain had no qualms in sacking their gaffa. They're good enough to not listen to any **** in the dressing room and go out and give it business as usual.

When you picked sides at school on a dinner time you didn't need a manager, and how often from the selection did you know who would win that dinner time virtually every time, so much so you always had to stop and switch players to try and even it out. It's a showcase of talent. It's a back burner area for management the world cup imo.

I agree mate, top players will take ownership and even a great manager would expect that.

He'll perform imo. Nailed on golden boot, second if not. Not a flair player but **** me he can score at any level even if they play him a bit deeper like they have done. Kind of the Kloser/Grioud player(not in style but in effect). Never going to have the world at their feet but **** me they'll do the business every time.

He certainly does have a bit of flair mate, he turns in and out lovely, not as flashy as some agreed but for sure he’s got that about him.

He’s stated he’s staying at Atleti now which means he’s settled and focused, he’s my golden boot tip as well, unless Kane or Lukaku really fill their boots v Panama.

Mind, Werner could score a lot of he’s played on the should, his pace is insanity.

Yeah Panama gives a few players a pop at the boot like. Sort of team a Midfielder can even give themselves a chance of coming close.

You know, a real finisher like Kane could get 3 or 4 in that game. If we get an early one we should dismantle them. I know we all rate Kane but if he steps up in this tournament people will appreciate just how good he is.

What a ****ing striker he is.

He pretty ****ing good like. Best playing in the country. If he was black with braids and had a fancy name he'd be sucked off left right and center. But he's a pasty thinning English man with a propper English name.

He needs to go abroad imo to be taken seriously on a world stage. Don't even think a move to a top English team would get him the kudos he deserves.

I think he will, he’s hinted at it. I think he will do time abroad then back to Spurs. He was always gonna see in the first year in the new stadium, but if they aren’t trophy hunting maybe next year or 2 he will dart.

Him and Icardi are the 2 best around for me, all round. Icardi can’t play for Argentina till Messi packs in its madness.

Yes, it's Men's National Team. Not sure why, but when I hear USA vs Russia, I'm thinking hockey, basketball, aircraft carrier - soccer doesn't even come to mind.
