It’s a right one between those 2 Bri, Colombia have real top quality though in midfield and not scared to put a foot in.
Let’s not forget they were arguably the best team at the last one and outplayed Brazil in the quarters.
Funny how Russia are playing the ****eist team in the tournament on their opening game.
In terms of seedings Saudi Arabia are playing the ****test team in the tournament. Boring game.
Really poor this. Saudi Arabia can't do anything other than string together a few pointless short passes in their own half.

Saudi Arabia have fallen to bits here. Russia won by five, kept a clean sheet and didn't even look very good.
Yup when you think there is no Italy or Holland here but these muppets are, I guess they qualified but the way it works stops all the top countries being at a World Cup at the same time
Was thinking about that but came to the conclusion that I'd rather have the variety than the consistency of talent. Otherwise the world cup would just be the euros/copa america each time around.
Yeah I guess I agree and small countries get in and it’s good for them. But small countries in Europe and South America of the same/more talent will not because of the strength of the continents. I guess it can’t be completely fair

On a serious note.. I wonder if the ramadan fasting had a negative effect on Saudi Arabia's performance.. They surely can't be that bad all the time?
Just feel it's going to be a high scoring tournament for no reason that the quality of attacks by mile outwiegh the quality of defence. I think defences and whole working units will do well as they have a bit more about them for a long haul. Think Poland will do well on that as they seem pretty good all over the park though not really excelling in any one division.
So many teams are going to crumble under attacks this summer, Such is the attacking talent and the defences look a bit below par. But the Polish and more so the Germans look very well equipped to deal with what's coming attacking wise. Still fancy francy like. Just think the few with solid defences are going to well in what's going to be a very high scoring tournament.
Defence is underrated but it's not lost on the Germans and Polish
Needed Russia and +2.5 goals for the first on my 4 fold. Nicely nicely. Wasn't the best game, scrapy and both ****e teams, but that perfect header and that strike on the outside of the boot made it worth it for me. I'm in full WC flow.
They looked neat and tidy going forward at least at first, their left back, very good, but the main problems were in defence, individually decent, but collectively all over the place, playing themselves into trouble, Ramadan could be the answer, but I think a Jackie Charlton would sort them out myself.
