Looking unbeatable for a couple of five minute spells is not a qualification for greatness imo. It might win a boxing match, but in footballl terms Croatia were the far better team today, and but for a useless referee would have walked that match.
The best team was France, regardless of what happened in the 1st half, France took Croatia apart in the 2nd.

I thought Croatia played better football but France had all the luck and that's a hard thing to overcome.

, but no you are spot on, the French have some great players , Croatia were for me the team of the tournament and unlucky to be beaten on the day, weak refereeing handed the French the game, far too many poor officials at this World Cup imo.

My thoughts. France were handed the initiative by a weak referee, this played right into their gallic mits, take away the "gifts" and the score going into the last quarter? shoul have been 2-1 to France, then we would have had a proper game on our hands, goals change games as they say. France are the World Champions, prefer them to Germany any day, but I would have loved to see Croatia win it. Love underdogs me
