****ing so much talent there. Shows you need to sell your cause and cap people early.
Zaha would have been a handy option for us off the bench at this world cup.
Wouldn’t he just mate. That said I kind of admire when people stay true to their heritage, fair play to him for that.
I don’t want us to start throwing passports at folk like France and Germany though, I’m far from against immigration but I won’t open that can of worms, I’d be against giving folk citizenship on the cheap though, even if it benefitted is in sports.
To be fair, sport in England is thriving at all levels, we are getting it right. More support needed from the Premier League at grass roots level, but look at the young teams, dominating.
It’s a good time for us, not a team with no back up developing but layers of players. Long overdue.
A lot of academies, like our own, sprung up 12-15 years ago and we are starting to see the rewards.

What's your take on this whole selling Wembley idea?
Some of the comments on here ****ing hell.
I bet they all come from go getters who nail life.
We won 6-1 and that was because we chose to step off. The substitutions were deliberate to give outsiders a game and save the main men.
****ing hell. 6-1 and negativity. This I why folk run away from the city of Sunderland.
So tell us what Southgate should have done then? You told me I was wrong as you're not a boo boy for SAFC yet I replied and you ignored my comment - you picked his subsitutions as a negative. You also picked the fact that we were lucky to draw the second half as a negative. Why are these two things negative? I understand it's your opinion but I'd be interested to see what it's based upon - as @Nads said, the subs were made to give people a run out in a game which was over. To rest the "big game" players too. As for the "We only drew the second half" - well when you win the first half 5-0, why is it negative to draw the second half?Surely personnel attacks on people you disagree with just weakens your augment. Stick to the facts and recognise that they are debatable

Allardyce was on the radio this morning basically stating that there was nothing negative in that performance - someone rang up and made a similar point to yours and Allardyce said "If it'd have been 1-1 or 1-0 then you wouldn't have seen that second half performance. Players are all, in a tournament this big with as many games so close together, going to take their foot off the gas when a game is won"

The press made a big deal about him still being eligible for us and Southgate said we'd be taking a look at him going forwards... might be an option.
Loving the bundesliga at the moment. It's acting like a feeder league for our youth. That jaden sancho sounds like a player.

So you’re suggesting we needed to slow the game down and protect a 5 goal lead? No way mate.
He used players he’s less likely to need against Belgium and kept Dier and Rashford fresh.
There was absolutely no gain to keeping Kane on, we all called that ‘soon as Kane gets hattrick he be off’.
Southgate was bang on for me. You don’t need to retain ball and close game down 5-0 up against minnows.

Thanks mate, hope you are right, I really do.![]()
OK.Hope I’m right? We won 6-1 mate with minimal effort. We saved energy that we didn’t need to expend.
We neither lost nor gained anything with the changes on the day and we kept players fresh. I’m not sure what Southgate has supposedly got wrong whilst we broke records?
8 pinters mate![]()
Fabulous player these two mind, Valderama and El Loco, the goalkeeper who invented "the scorpion kick" , Look a bit dated now unless your Johnny Depp or Grayson Perry.
