Behrami playing strongly but Brazil should easily win this one

Maybe not - Brazil won't be fans of VAR!

Turning into an interesting World Cup. Lots of big names are stuttering, and, just as with the Netherlands and Italy in qualifying, there could be some major footballing nations not making the knockout phase. The door has never been more open for an outsider to come in.

It seems that just about every game I watch has a player with Watford connections. They look so talented on the international stage, yet not always that good in our colours. Do they lift themselves for the World Cup, or is it the playing style that they are being asked to adapt to at Watford. I suspect it is the latter.

I guess there could also be a case made that they find it easier to shine surrounded by better players and a coach who gets more than a year in the job ;)

You could be right there. I can remember how Dennis Uphill a journeyman player if ever there was one, came into the side alongside Cliff Holton and looked a deadly striker.

We've never given Carillo the freedom he had for Peru and he looked excellent, no idea how they managed to lose to Denmark who were poor !!

So now midgies, billions of them, could be a problem. Same for both sides of course but be a shame if it led to a goalkeeper error that decided the game.

Thankfully the next two fixtures are elsewhere.

Not sure what to hope for tonight. Obviously a loss would be a disaster. A draw not much better but retrievable.

But a say 4-0 win will start expectations growing and pressure mounting. I guess a good workman like 2-0 with no injuries or cards would be good.

Anyway enjoy one and all <cheers>

Can see our game going the same way tonight.

Tight first half but our quality tells in the end - least Kane won't be stuck on corners !

Typical England - well on top playing well and we give away a cheap soft penalty !

    Should be about 5-1!!

Same old rubbish from England. I'm unimpressed. That's what happens when you don't treat the opposition with the respect they deserve. They seem to think it will be a stroll and they do not concentrate on the task in hand. All that approach play is pointless if you concentrate at the sharp end.

And don't talk to me about that muppet Walker. Just don't.

Managed to watch México in a bar sunday morning. I announced I was English after a few looks in the tiny village's watering hall I was in and they were great with me after that. What a win. What a win. :)

England huffing and puffing but not doing too much ATM.
