And ‘he’s got him on toast’. Is it me or are all the players with Watford connections generally playing much better than we’ve seen in a yellow shirt? Carrillo, Amrabat, Niang, Layún. The exceptions I guess are Ighalo (not a good game) and Behrami who was generally a consistent performer for us and had a good game the other day.
I hope that people don't start calling to have Amrabat / Carrillo back as a Watford players now, one swallow does not make a summer. Amrabat is the most frustrating winger since Wooter. I'd take Carrillo over Amrabat but even he lacks end product. Layun is class but never really showed it at Watford, he was always professional. Niang's goal was cheeky, at least he put a shift in when at Watford. The Pozzo's web has no limits it seems! haahahah
Well off to the bar to cheer along with the locals as Spain trouse Iran - Well that's the plan. If that fails I'll do my best to boost the Cruz Campo share price
Looks as if the supplies of CO2 that is required for a pint or two is about to disappear. You couldn't believe the timing.
Lots of minimalist football going on at the moment. Portugal could go a long way, as in the Euro's, just by playing to 0 and hoping that Ronaldo comes up with something. As for Uruguay it's like watching Stoke City on downers.
Both Morocco and Iran certainly did themselves proud against the big boys. With a bit more luck could have drawn.
I can easily see a scenario where Iran go through. It will take more luck than they had last night but I must say I was underwhelmed by Spain.
Told Mme that you put penalty kicks to the left of Schmeichel because he always goes to his right. He went as predicted.
Well whoever plays shouldn't really matter as we ought to win.. Sure we will make it hard for ourselves as most of the big teams are !
Is anyone else getting depressed at the number of teams content with 1-0 at this World Cup ? That's 10 of them now - the Russians may not be the best team at this WC. but they are trying to be the most entertaining.
