So much for the headlines of our PM flying back from a conference to sort this disaster out. The ****s now ****ed off on holiday fr a week.

I hasten to add a labour PM would have done the same. Because our politicians do nt give a **** what we the British public care about.

And he cancelled their Easter holiday so they could debate Thatcher's death! <doh>

During "the Irish troubles" The vast majority of Catholics in Britain were perfectly reasonable people, who found the violence as abhorrent as we did.

Unfortunately, some were not and a consequence, if there were no Catholics in Britain during that period it would have been a better place.

It's ridiculous, but it's true.

It's not true, the Irish never dirty overran several cities in Britain.

Luton should be nuked. Fact.

Leave them to it- it's not our business.

Let them eat pork.

I know it makes things difficult but it is very much our business. If you think the radicalisation of muslims is not aided by the situation in Palestine and the attitude of the West to it you are living in cloud cuckoo land.
This is the problem Agro. There is no easy solution.Sound-bite gesturing will not work.It might make things alot worse.

Craig, I think I get your point and the sentiment in which I think you meant it, but not true at all. However, do you think all Catholics are Irish? I am a Catholic! A rather lapsed one mind. Indeed if I went to confession, I'd be in there so long they would have to send in Red Cross food parcels. First and foremost, I'm also British (and very proud of it) as well as Roman Catholic. My ancestry is both Welsh and Irish on one side of the family and can trace the other side back to the 1400s in England. I am English/British first and foremost, and in the 70s as a teenager I hated and despised what the IRA did. However, I was attacked and more than once waiting at the bus stop because I wore the uniform of a Catholic School and described as 'IRA scum'. Catholics are not a race apart, it's a variation of baptism, not a way of life (well unless you stick to the rules about sex etc ...errr no!). There's been English Catholics around for an awful long time. So where should I have gone during the troubles? Now I am not saying you do personally, but a lot of folks confuse blind radicalism and politicisation as religious faith. They are not the same. I dated a Jewish girl with observant parents and they believed that Israel's policy towards Palestine was completely wrong. The poor young fellow killed by those sick misguided cretins incidentally was a Roman Catholic in the British Army. If we applied that same maxim to muslims, we'd be wishing the Allam's would be best out of Britain. Are we saying therefore, Britain would be a better place without them? If you get my drift! Not having a go, just making a point!

Cheers

PS> I tried to PM you the other day - inbox full? Some housekeeping required methinks!:emoticon-0100-smile

Craig was using a bit of Socratic method there, I think he largely agrees with your point ;)

Should add thousands honour Lee Rigby in flowers all over the UK

Yet a again mod why have you added people paying their respects to a political thread ? I really dont believe this belongs in here!

If we leave em to it, it's our fault for not intervening.

If we intervene, we're infidels trespassing in 'muslim lands'.

As muslims are currently showing in Sweden, they're rioting because they're not happy.

They're not happy in the UK.

They're not happy in France.

They're not happy in Boston.

They're not happy in Denmark.

They're not happy in Madrid.

They're not happy in Bali.

They're not happy in Nairobi.

They're not in Addis Ababa.

They're not happy in Afghanistan.

They're not happy in Pakistan.

They're not happy in Iraq.

They're not happy in the Sudan.

They're not happy in Nigeria.

They're not happy in Egypt.

They're not happy in Syria.

Plus, as you say, in Palestine.

Johnny Muslim is not a happy chappy in many places it seems. Good job it's the religion of peace.

Should we intervene or just keep the **** out?

Looking at that list, it seems I've left out Iceland.

I don't know how many muslims they have up there- maybe they could take 30,000 or 40,000 on their sparsely-populated island?

What's the betting the social cohesion and low-crime rate would go tits up if they did?

Total joke who thought moving a a very sobering moment to this!

I did realise that Gawge - but it is cue for the sectarian types to pile in and my point was really rhetorical if not badly written in a rush. Those photographs above appeared since I wrote it, and have moved me, and so out of respect to young Lee Rigby I'll think I'll bow out of any further comment

Cheers mate!

I moved it.

As we keep making clear, religion and politics are generally not allowed on here. The event at Woolwich was allowed as it was an exception. The respects in his home town are part of that tragic event.

You git - whilst I live in Hertfordshire I work over the border in what might be termed greater Luton - I hope that knowing this you will refine your comments to "Luton should be nuked - but only on weekends" ...

Agro. You just do not get it.We are not leaving them to it.You have to sort it out or all your Rambo speak will remain impotent.Try giving thought to a solution. It is not easy. You cannot throw sound bite answers .WE NEED A SOLUTION not endless useless hot air.You can be the one to start it.TRY.

30-40k Muslims would make up 15-20% of the population. And I really want to visit Iceland, so they'll have to wait.

They should just be sent to Svalbard, Greenland and the Antarctic.

Sick of muslims, dont like walking down the street and saying ladies in a full veiled curtain, no eye candy and a bacon roll is the greatest breakfast ever

****ing knew it! This thread has people going on about star Trek, Israel, Religion And you thought it right to move People paying there respects here! People could have added there own opinion and paid there respects on the Very moving pictures rather then troll though 20 pages of Left and right wing, political, religious and piss take opinions to a very sobering moment! And after a Very moving day for my family i have to deal with a prick like you!

You could quite easily have moderated the thread, People might have added more pictures of the rest of the country paying there respects and not want to add on this thread!
