In cases like these, where there really is no doubt at all, there should be a death penalty. There are plenty of cases, where there really is no doubt whatsoever,of guilt.

I don't do religion,in fact i despise it,but there is something to said for "an eye for an eye",that makes perfect sense to me.

"Killing people is wrong, we should kill people who do it."

I would suspect that the Help for Heroes charity would offer support.

I'm not sure why our club needs to do anything in particular, or any football club for that matter.

There are mechanisms in place to provide assitance to the bereaved families of of servicemen and there will be many groups who will wish to set up to raise money for the children. I would think that a lot of money would be raised and infact more than the family could comfortably accept. The surplus will go to charities of similar types, such as Help for Heroes or British Legion.

Whether you as an individual feel the need to do something, then that is a personal matter and one to be applauded.

The world is ****ed up at times.

It's no more ****ed up than two days ago.

It's just that up to now MI5 and their ilk have foiled most of these people and their plots, and this time they were unable to.

As a nation we have been complacent and averted our eyes (in the eyes of so called political correctness) to what is happening in this country, days like yesterday are a wake up call.

These people are among us and if yesterday was spectacularly gruesome and brutal, the beliefs they espoused will find an echo with the majority of muslims here (sharia law, subjugation of women, our presence in Afghanistan and Iraq).

Labour's open door policies are coming home to roost. Get used to it.

About time we took off the gloves.. Arm the police pronto...Never mind rapid response teams that take 20 mins to turn up. Let Army personnel carry guns so at least they might stand a chance to defend themselves. I listened to Boris Johnson tonight. Talk about deluded and out of touch with reality. What a grade A arsehole!

Boris needs the muslim vote to get re-elected.

He just pumps out words to that end.

My problem with the death penalty is that when applying it the State commits the very offence they are reacting to. How can we say taking a life is wrong when the penalty is taking a life?

Do you understand justification? Is locking someone up for the rest of their life justified? Perhaps unjustified, premeditated murder can be balanced by justified, thoroughly undeniable blame and an eqivalent end product - the loss of life. Perhaps imprisonment and the loss of liberty is an inappropriate response to kipnap or abduction? Were do you suggest we draw the line?

After yesterdays appalling and sensitive events, Channel 4 thinks it's a good idea to jump on the bandwagon and air a programme about a muslamic rape gang who groomed and sold underage british children for sex, and further incite public hatred towards islam.

You couldn't make it up <doh>

I watched that live last night and I was surprised he used that term.

Robbo wrote:

'The police had, I was told, described the attackers as being "of Muslim appearance" and shouting "Allahu Akbar". On air I directly quoted a senior Whiehall source saying that the police had used that description.
'That phrase "of Muslim appearance" clearly offended some who demanded to know what it could possibly mean. Others were concerned that it was a racist generalisation.'"

Blimey, cut the bloke some slack- he was quoting someone else and he said so.

The two savages were not of Muslim appearance- they seemed South London africans in accent and appearance, complete with Stone Island woollen hat.

We're in a real mess if this trivial and insignificant usage of words looms large in the list of concerns, when a young Briton is beheaded in our capital city in broad daylight.

WTF is wrong with some people?
