I'm not going to join in the debate here, however, I'm in a slight state of shock as I've just read and heard that the police are at a house in Saxilby, Lincolnshire in connection with this atrocity. This is the next village to mine and under 3 miles away. It is a quiet, understated and a typically quintessential English village near the home of the Dambusters! Family links to the terrorists apparently! The police have blocked a fair bit of the village off.

Pointing the finger at Muslims just shows how much of a total ignorance there is in our country.

I wonder how many on here actually know any Muslims, have been welcomed into their homes with open arms and benefitted from their all out kindness and generosity?

I wonder if those who haven't did, how many would still point the finger at all Muslims?

They are good people and will be sickened by the acts and people who claim to do things on behalf of Islam.

I would like to agree with you but there are clearly problems in the Muslim communities and if not, then were does this resentment come from ? We have large Jewish, Hindu and Sikh communities and there doesn't seem to be a problem with them and the UK culture. So surely you would have to say something is not right with how Muslims see us and this need's to be out in the open and and discussed rather then sweeping this under the carpet and coming out with the usual statements.

Now i have worked with Muslims and shared there food and talked with a muslim work colleague about the living here and we joked about the weather and many other things and we talked on matters more serious, When the 9/11 attacks happened he and his friends had a clitchy looking plane going into a building? when this was talked about round the dinner table they thought this was funny? He also talked to me about his english muslim wife and how he hit her and how a pakistani wife would not answer him back. we talked more about this and he knew he was doing wrong but found it hard to deal with, So the matter was dropt with me and him and we talked little about his wife after this.

On other occasion i went to Oldham with my muslim colleague to buy a car. and when he parked outside a shop to buy some cigs, i was then dragged out of the car and asked what i was doing here (i nearly **** myself) But luckily enough my muslim work colleague came out and said he was ok!! and off we went and the car turned out to be ****!

So my point is have engaged with muslims. And my end result is they are issues within the communities that need addressing, just to reiterate this is what i seen myself and in no way do i hate muslims i just feel they are issues that need dealing with.

There's definitely issues that need dealing with and they need to make more of a transition into English lifestyle. Their ways in their home countries are very different and even barbaric in some cases but they're brought up that way and to them it's completely normal and perfectly ok. There's many different types of Muslim though and they each have their own customs which can make it hard to weed out as one section may enjoy kicking their wives heads in while the other self harms and literally cuts chunks of flesh out of themselves.

The Muslims I've known have been very normal people who wouldn't do any of the extreme crap some Muslims like to do and other than having a pray every day and being fussy eaters they live exactly the same type of lifestyle as we do, enjoy doing the same things, watch the same tv programmes etc...

I'd also say these Muslim communities need to do a lot more to help each other Muslim community and help weed out the trouble makers. Some are settled into English life but some still think they live in Baghdad or wherever they've come from and live and act the same as they did at home. The settled communities should be helping the others find their british identity and going on to find the extremist wings and cut them out completely. They should be doing a lot more about this IMO.

i give you Colin Norris, found guilty of pre meditated murder of 5 elderly women who were under his care in Leeds hospitals and given 30yrs. If the death penalty was in place he would have been a prime candidate.

In the news yesterday about doubts surrounding his conviction due to new evidence.....

morally we might all agree these vile creatures deserve it but if re-introduced into the legal system, the death penalty is a mighty sticky wicket, just saying.

Also to the anti Muslim brigade, maybe we should chuck out the Allams, elmohamady, possibly Faye (I'm not sure if he's Muslim but Islam is the dominant religion in Senegal), and gedo and Fathi should also be outlawed.

My problem with the death penalty is that when applying it the State commits the very offence they are reacting to. How can we say taking a life is wrong when the penalty is taking a life?

Actually, I think that was on TV, and all over the internet, yeah? People making jokes about the Jimmy Saville cases, yeah? White men laughing and joking about crimes committed by other white men? I reckon we should target the white male community.

Also, the white male murderers of young children,Mick Philpott, Ian Huntley Stuart Hazell, all those. I'm not saying that all white males are child murderers, just that most child murderers seem to be white males... So, I think there is a problem with white males in society, and they should be sorted out. You can say that most white males are innocent, but if they really are, then why does this keep happening? Why don't the 'innocent' white males come out and stop these sorts of things?

It's quite shocking really to see the reaction of some people. Log onto Facebook and all of a sudden, everyone is putting racist status's. 2 people do not account for the rest who DO actually come to live in England in peace and integrate with our way of life.

The EDL are a disgrace. There's Muslim personnel serving in the UK Military fighting to protect our home and way of life, should we kick them out too EDL?

It's just a case of the old cliché, 'jumping on the bandwagon' where everyone thinks they now have an excuse to be racist become of some brainwashed Christian-gone-Muslim and his friend's crazy antics. Yes, it's bloody awful what they did, and they should have been shot on the spot dead rather than having Hospital treatment that probably costs £1,000's to do. But again, I reiterate, don't sweep all Muslim/Islam under one brush because of the action of two mislead individuals.

Aah, when they're that age, it's just clear that they're not mature enough to realise the vast multi-Culturalism that's within the UK. They'll grow out of it.

I'm more concerned about the possibility that Muslims may be singled out even if they've done nothing wrong by people who now think it's OK to be racist because of that. Some of them will have to suffer because of what those 2 morons did.

I can see a Civil War in this Country...
