IMHO Abdullahi was always signed with next season in mind. We haven't exactly missed him.The frustration is real mind. The last two signings we made on the last deadline day have literally only just got back playing, indeed Abdullahi made one U21 appearance and hasn't been seen in 2 weeks since.
I do wonder if this is what caused the delay in announcing, rather than the Boro game. It did seem a bit of a tetchy reason not to announce considering we managed to announce that Ba had signed for Dunkerque last night.

Danns? well let's just wait and see eh? He might only be missing a couple of games and we aren't exactly short up front
Supposedly a few weeks according to a liverpool journo. Sounds like they have spotted he hasn't fully recovered from a previous injury and he needs to rest before getting involved to make sure it's sorted. I could be wrong like but seems that way to me.
Can't see us signing him if he wasn't going to play a part
Reoccurring injury is a worry thoughYou must log in or register to see media
Same guy said a few weeks
As soon as Mundle or Watson are back it takes the stress off. Mayenda can then be the backup striker instead of being cover for all the forward positions. I think Mundle is back in training isn't he?

Aye, I can imagine there were conversations at the club saying "is it worth us doing this deal?" but also realising that it was pretty late in the window (not their fault) and signing a player who might only be available for 10 games was better than signing no-one...Agree on all counts, just saying its frustrating, and pretty ****e luck. It will be frustrating for the club as much as us fans.
Let's just not sign him perm hahaReoccurring injury is a worry though
Hahaha I meant that yes this injury is a few weeks, he could come back and it happen again, as it has nowLet's just not sign him perm haha
Complete coincidenceAnd how did you manage to get "back" and "stress" into that first sentence man![]()
Ultimately I don't think our team are mugs. If they thought he wouldn't play they wouldn't sign him. Its the hardest thing to do in football but we just have to trust them now.
We can all gang up on speakman and KLD at the end of the season if we don't go up due to striker injuries though. That would be unbelievably frustrating.
