Yeah. I’d perhaps prefer an old warhorse on loan or a short term deal, but we basically just need another body for 20 games. We’ve got 4 suitable strikers already on the books for a champ run next season and if we make it to the prem we need the flexibility to do much better than the names we’ve been linked with to date. Another one to add to the mix for the run-in and on we go.

I don’t believe Watson is done. News this morning was of a bidding war. I’d believe it’s a “done deal” in that he’s definitely going. But don’t think it will be “done” yet.

I think that makes sense

He's not guaranteed starts with us but he also isn't at Blackburn, he will get more minutes at us than he would at Liverpool

Plus it's the experience of playing for a big club that's pushing for a promotion, would be a great sell to them

His movement is also really good. After his debut in a cup game a couple of years ago I’ve watched his development. He is an intelligent player, great technique and good pace and physicality. Can’t see what’s not to like.
