Better too deep than too shallow is my feeling.
Of course the PL is the goal but not to get there and do exactly what Southampton are doing. They went up with a manager ‘they loved’ and who’s now long gone. The team are stinking the place out and the fans are suffering one humiliating defeat after another.
PL is the goal but it can quickly and easily become an own goal.
Yeah but that was down to their manager being stubborn with his play style.
RLB's style has more chance at success i reckon as we can focus on counters
ELF is an exceptional case mind on account of his relationship with the head coach. If Le Bris wasn't here and it was, say, Rohl that was our manager then Le Fee wouldn't have entertained the move.ELF is loan to buy. He was ready to slot straight in.
Completely illustrates my earlier point. We provide these lads with a pathway or we lose them. Also illustrates how short term signings can hurt us. Maybe we still lose some of them. However, we'll certainly lose more if we don't stick to the plan and provide the pathway. You must log in or register to see media
Marcus Edward’s plays both sides
We could probably get that £5m in tribunal if we play the ladThe important factor here is whether Watson is willing to sign a new deal.
If he's willing, then we're in a strong position to say no to Brighton.
If he isn't willing, then selling him for, say, £5m now, rather than £5m in the summer when he has just 12 months left, makes a lot of sense to me. It means we can invest that £5m in the next few days towards a player like Edwards, who improves us and the balance of our squad instantly.

CHUT?Oh foxtrot Oscar I forgot he was his agent
what a Charlie hotel uniform Tango he is
"in talks" doesn't mean we're accepting a bid****
Think it still is if he goes before he turns 21 and is oit of contractThere's no tribunal now is there? Think its open market once he's signed a pro deal. We'd be entitled to a small percentage of future transfer fees only.
Nah doubt that's true. Was always tribunals for anyone under 23. There would have been uproar if that had changed. There's no tribunal now is there? Think its open market once he's signed a pro deal. We'd be entitled to a small percentage of future transfer fees only.

The one thing I'm 100% confident about is the club are doing what's best for the club. This isn't Donald.
