Is this the most excited you have been about a new player to watch. Or was it someone else. Just to pass the time while he collects his scarf.
I think he might be the one I'm most nervous about first watching

It was Paul Bracewell returning from Everton for his second spell for me. What a time he had at Everton, and couldnt wait to see him back. Not the most exciting of footballers ehI think he might be the one I'm most nervous about first watching. I want the lad to deliver!

Loved watching Sess. We had some lovely footballers in that period, real technicians. He was one of the best.2 jump out for me for different reasons
Was buzzing when we signed Ballard, been a huge fan of his for a few yrs before joining us
The other one is Sessegnon, I remember seeing him for PSG vs Arsenal in a preseason friendly and thought wow what a talent. Couldn't believe it when we signed him, loved watching him play

Defoe the first time, I couldn’t keep my eyes off my phone. Johnson and Fletcher too, they felt like real statements at the time.Is this the most excited you have been about a new player to watch. Or was it someone else. Just to pass the time while he collects his scarf.
Possibly the most excited I've felt over signing a player was Craig Gordon, not so much for the lad himself but for what the signing seemed to represent. I couldn't believe we were spending that kind of money at all (£9M if I remember correctly?) never mind just on a young keeper. It felt like the club was about to take off with Quinny running the show, Roy Keane in the dugout and owners willing to spend unprecedented amounts (for us) on transfer fees. I wish I could have bottled that feeling to help get me through the 13 or 14 years that followed lolIs this the most excited you have been about a new player to watch. Or was it someone else. Could be Saudi jetsIs it normal to have a few RAF Typhoons flying at the same time or are they giving out lad an escort into Ponteland
Going off others reaction as no idea how good ELF is, but reminds me of Boro getting Merson in the Championship
I'd never heard of Neves either tbhits like when Wolves got Joao Neves in the championship.
Its just a shame its only for 20-23 games
