This ELF signing has really annoyed me btw. I've spent all season thinking playoffs will do. Which has massively softened the emotional blows when we've lost or drawn games we should be winning. It's been great for keeping me on an equilibrium. Now I want us to do it so bad. This ELF signing has tipped me over an edge I didn't want to cross
This is the first signing in a long while where I've thought it was a proper coup. Mepham was right at the top end of what I thought we could sign. Le Fee was getting MOTM's 13 months ago in the Europa League.
The most I've looked forward to a signing would be Quinny, Schwarz and Bould. All 3 were a step up to the players we had at the time
Huge fan of Gordon, know quite a few folk who know him and he's meant to be one of the nicest guys about as well So pleased he came back from his injuries to actually play at a good level again
I was in the NE corner right in line with the goal when he made that incredible save against Bolton. We moved up to 6th that day - for all the stick Bruce gets, he had us playing some lovely stuff at the time.
As I remember it though, didn't he completely reorganise the side for the next game, which we then lost. Bruce almost seemed like he was trying to go out of his way not to succeed at times.
The most annoying thing about the Chelsea result was we’d lost to the Mags 5-1 only 14 days earlier. If we turned up that day, we would’ve won.
