Seen so many on social media slagging the club for not going for Iheanacho, saying he would be 1st choice for us and we lack ambition because we didn't sign him - despite both our strikers this season scoring/assisting more than he did last season

The types that voted us out of the EU thinking we'd be better off in Sunderland lol

They’d come because they think they would be first choice. I think it’s rare that a player looks at competition and thinks “ nah, hes much better than me.”

And they'd be straight on the bench then might never start.

There's no way we're dropping our first choice striker who's scoring and has just signed a new contract ...

... after the end of the window there's only sixteen games left.

That's why Cannon, etc, didn't want too come imo and why we're chasing a PL loan.

Agree with this. These “proven strikers that cost a good fee” would have other options offering them a starting spot. Our two strikers are our joint top contributors. Makes more sense for a young pl loan with someone coming to compete

Reactions: Smug in Boots
Did they?

I just remember laughing when media were saying Brum interested in Rigg! Aye and what like? He is hardly going to push for a move there after just signing a pro contract.

Oh a quick edit to add after turning down prem teams <laugh>
Yep,
Said it was his chance to step up and play for a bigger club.

I read on here regularly, but rarely comment…. Last logged on Thursday night, and there’s ****in’ 2700 new messages . What’s Gannin on ?!? I’ve seen the Dodds, Dan, Watson & Mundle crack, but is there out else happening? Cheers

It's a chat forum for chatting mate ...

... you need Sky Sports News for news <cheers>

The same fans that said Jobe coming here was a sideways or even a backwards step. They would be in the PL before us and we would be in L1 where we belong.

I understand that a bit more, fans bias for their own club and we hadn't been out of league 1 for very long. But to think Rigg would join them and it be a step up when they had just been relegated to league 1 ffs!

Just come in, turned down £12m for Watson, wtf, didn’t realise we were that big a club tbh. Can u imagine 3 years ago turning down that size bid for one of our homegrown kids, not even one of our standout ones, future looks good doesn’t it?

It's the age old conundrum of how football supporters quickly grow accustomed to something then want more ...

... It's only a few years when we were discussing or players and wondering if we'd get a fee <laugh>
