No doubt we need wingers at the minute but Mundle and Watson likely back in a few weeks. My concern if we brought Clarke in, we would have 3 quality wingers for 1 position then Roberts Poveda (if fit) and Rigg as our options at RM

We only have 1 more loan spot to use so I want to see that used on a striker or that versatile forward that can play RM

I’m honestly not bothered if we’ve got too many players for each position…it’s 3 months and we might not have another chance like this to go for promotion. We finished 16th last year, the league is tough. If we can get a player of Clarke’s ability for 3 months, we should do it.

I'm of the same opinion, it really needs to be a forward who can play well at LW and who is a striker with an eye for goal. Which is a hard task I'd imagine.
It really is a hard task, I don't have massive concerns about LM but I do have concerns at RM

I would also be trying to bring in a LB, Cirkin is off the boil at the minute and so injury prone.

We also finished 6th the season before that tho, with the way we are building we should be challenging next season if we don't go up.

No point having 3 amazing LMs and no quality RM though - the best sides will have balance on both sides. Now I know some will jump in and defend Roberts but for me he isn't good enough to start every week for a team aiming for automatic promotion.

I get why folk are wanting Clarke, he was quality for us and both Watson and Mundle are injured. They are both back soon, and if they stay fit for the season (impossible to know if they will or not) then we are strong at LM. I have concerns about our options on the other side though and that needs to be a priority with another CF option

Cirkin doesn't look right, limping, didn't look right Tuesday night, they must be trying to nurse him through something, AJs out for season....like you say injury prone...we need cover

He isn't a LB though, he's a CB that has played games at LB

We definitely need a natural LB, id be worried if we didn't sign one before the window closes

I'd want a permanent one as well as Cirkin only got 18 months left on deal so we should be signing a possible replacement for him

When will Mundle and Watson be fit and will they be up to speed quick? We have many games that are crucial to this promotion race. Not sure we can just keep coasting without a proper left winger we’ve been doing so for months. The amount of points we keep dropping is worrying

Also another thing, Isidor works his arse off all game till he’s ****ed. Never stops running and makes ****ing mint runs so many times, even pointing to where he wants it and telling people to feed him and he still sees about two decent passes a game. Very frustrating

We’re not really dropping points due to a lack of left winger imo. It’s not ideal, but we’ve got problems elsewhere. We’ve also got a player who’s done fine there who has been bombed out. Good enough to bridge the few weeks till Mundle and Watson are back anyway.

It’s an issue though as we lack creativity

Yep we do but no point stockpiling LMs, we know we have 2 creative LMs coming back in the nxt month - the same can't be said about RM

We need 2 forwards still imo, a CF and a RM - be shocked if we get both as seems like it might be a versatile forward instead

I'd also like a LB

Here's hoping for a productive week ahead

I hope the club change their mind and sign a couple. Need a CF and a RW for me. Not sure we are going find a versatile unicorn of a player who can come in AND make an impact immediately

Yeah but the problem is a functional central midfield IMO. The regular three are incredible, but they’re not gonna overwhelm the opposition with creativity. They’d be my three against Boro, and I’m very confident that they’ll do well in that type of game. They’ve done it time and again in big games this season. But against a team playing deep and daring us to break them down, we need a bit more creative magic. ELF can do fine out wide in certain games, and AA would be who i’d use to allow ELF to slide centrally against more limited teams. That’d be fine for the next few games until Mundle and Watson get back in my view. The bigger problem for me is that I just don’t see RLB doing that.
