I struggle to think of anyone in an England shirt who is too far ahead of him at LB

Leif Davis and Lewis Hall. Luke Shaw and Ben Chilwell too, despite their injury problems.

Think that'll depend on how well Wilson and Connolly do from now till January.

I wouldn't be doing much tbh. Not all that bothered about positions as I think we're fairly well set for the medium term in all spots. I'd be looking to add a little magic and a bit of experience and I'm not all that bothered about where we do it. Maybe a senior/prem loan or two and then spend money on players for future seasons. Would be nice to see some contracts renewed with the Clarke money too.

Three goals in two games for Connolly will take the pressure to sign another striker off . I think we might just have pulled of a coup.

    Re Henderson links…

The Championship is a tough league to play in as an older midfielder if your running power has diminished. Are there any examples of 34 year olds playing centre mid for teams competing at the top of the championship in recent years?

Barry Bannan nominated for skybet championship player of the month for September. Aged 34.

As has already been mentioned, not much at all.

if Samed can't get fit, a more experienced DM to help see games out
a right-sided winger who can be more direct/alternative to Roberts
a utility full-back, if there is one.

Fingers crossed no more big injuries.

He’s a good player despite what some say. Absolutely fine at this level and has bags of experience.

I do agree with this usually but in Jan windows i'd like us to stay firm and not sell especially if we are still up there, we need to keep the key players just like we did with Clarke last Jan

Before anything, I'd reiterate to players and fans that no first team stalwarts will be allowed to leave. If they do express desire to go it has to be agreed before the window opens. I do doubt anyone would want to go if we are still within 6 points of the top come Christmas, you can never rule anything out.

After that's sorted, we definitely need fullback cover. If Bainbridge isn't playing for Killie, get him recalled, he'd be solid if he doesn't end up back out on loan. Go out and buy one if not.

Beyond that, adapt to surroundings, we might not need anyone now but if we are top in Jan and the coach feels we need something or someone, gravitate towards it. I'm not saying chuck 10 million at a certain player, but consider options.

Outgoings wise, I'd be shocked to see our main lads leave. Hjelde for me needs a loan, he needs to be playing. Bringing in a fullback should allow for him to go on loan. Johnson too, depending on fitness of others.

Bennette, Ba and Aouchiche are up in the air. I don't mind losing AA permanently, feel like Jewi and Ba could do with a good loan. They need to find themselves, they're both stuck in my opinion.

Surprised we haven’t seen more of Hjelde. 2-0 up against derby and he didn’t come on for Cirkin. You would think he would be an option to shore things up.

suggests he might not be fancied yet le bris has publicly praised him. He never seems to play for the u21s either.

I think everyone would agree, it’s when he’s made out to be a great player that people laugh …

… he never made it in the PL or for his country.

His goal return, over all those years, isn’t great and I don’t think he ever scored for Scotland. He’s found his level at a club that makes him the focal point, fair play to him.

Still think he’s massively overrated by Skys championship pundits tbh. Nominated because he scored a few goals in poor Sheff Wed performances..

What would people think of Rigg leaving for £30m in the winter window? Realistically we’re going to lose him soon and £30m would be a massive fee to help us progress.. would be a shame to see him go so soon though.

He desperately needs a loan. If we can get Seelt and Alese back into the picture by Christmas (alongside Ballard), I'd be aiming to get him out and get him regular games at the highest level we can for the rest of the season.

Not while we are where we are. Should be keeping the team and squad intact with a tweak or two to add depth/remove waste.

I think it sends a terrible message.
