A Burnley account has already shot down the Benson link. Hopefully a link from a more solid source comes soon.

You haven't answered my question.

There’s nothing to answer, I never said it was incorrect I said it’s an excuse people hide behind - you chose to try and spin it.

Anyone spends more than us on wages they must be doing it incorrectly and we’re doing it right.

Does anyone care if we spend sensible money, we are no where near our outer limits of FFP, its a unit that tight owners and directors hide behind, when the dont want to put their hands in to their deep pockets.

I keep seeing these arguments Bob.

I always think of how people will say 'yes but it's the fans who suffer' when clubs get into trouble, go bust or have points deductions ...

... the truth is that the fans always want more money spent and believe the club can always afford it without knowing the facts.

No-one was begging Short to stop spending money, in fact they wanted him to spend more and more and more. When he'd had enough he gave the club to two idiots who spent £5m on Grigg who was absolutely useless.

To answer your question, I'm much happier with the club now than then.

No-one said their approach is wrong, just that we all know that we're not a club willing to rack up debt any longer. You dismissed it as a poor excuse, when it's just the stated reality. No-one's hiding behind it.

I'm content with that and to be patient for a while longer.
