how much would hearts want for him. He always seems a no brainer to me
My mate reckons they want around 2 million, he knows shankland has been offered a contract by them for 13k a week which would be a club record for them

Shankland would suit the change of style of play we seem to be implementing- not high pressing as much n going a bit more direct

Is that actually a cert or just a guess though? They’ve spent barely anything on player fees and nobody knows what wages their players are on apparently as whenever you mentioned wages people are paying quick to say capology isn’t right.

I’d imagine if they don’t go up they’ll have interest in players so a single player sale for £5m+ will just put their revenue right up to do it again?
Nothing is a certainty, but a club that gets 25k attendances are paying £30k per week to a 31yo striker to add to the other 5 strikers they have.
They seem to have filled their squad up with loan players too so they might be in a similar position to Forest regardless of what league they are in next year. I'd imagine their wage bill is hefty given they've taken a lot of loans from the PL

think it could be us ?

Some of our ****ing moron fans on twitter! Speakman says Mundle is an exciting signing, fan says what’s exciting about a player who has played academy games! Literally looking for **** to throw at the club hierarchy

The lad's twenty ffs.

How is he automatically 'one for the future' when Jobe is two years younger and had only played a couple of dozen adult games ...

... these'll be the same people whinging that Rigg isn't being given game time.

Yeah, lots of things don't help but it is what it is. 2 years and 3 or 4 windows is enough time to sort and if it isn't, ideals and parameters have to change.

Anyway, they are on with one now. So hopefully it gets sorted.

This striker decent, in your opinion (if it gets done)?

No idea of who it could be?

Burnley had 50% loans in their team last season and are doing great now aren't they.
I'm more than happy to sign our players with the odd loan chucked in as a filler.

I said pre season that Shankland was worth a pint and I've not seen anything to change my mind even at £2m.

Shankland has been linked with Celtic on and off Big debate amongst my Celtic pals though about who is the best prospect in Scotland between him and Miovski at Aberdeen. I know you're based up there and they are different types of player but who would be you're choice if we were in for either. I know Shankland score goals but really like the look of Miovski.
Shankland a big Rangers fan apparently so not sure he'd go to Celtic.

Ekwah is absolutely NOT a defensive midfielder. He has no awareness of danger. Just look at the 2nd goal in the cup game.
Neil can play that role, but he's far better and more effective further forward.
We've seen enough of O'Nien in midfield to know he's not a midfielder. The fact he's played there once in the last 2 seasons says it all
Matete is more a player who likes to carry the ball. Box to box rather than CDM

Plenty of revisionism going on here today saying we don't need a CDM when even the club have said we do
I guess this game is all about opinions as I think DN is very suited to the holding midfield role and think our whole system of playing changed when TM wanted him higher up the pitch and started trying to get Hume to invert in their to release DN. Neil has good awareness and moves around the pitch well likes to take a ball on the half turn and has a good range of passing. His breaking up of play was improving all the time and will get better with game time in that position. Maybe he just needs time but I think he could become fantastic in that role as he is already good at it and seems to always be able to find space and time on the ball. Sure there may be the odd mistake but at the moment I think he will prove more than capable.
