Pushing for a striker that isn’t Moore.
I wonder who it is.
where did you get this from?

Personally I would be happy with what we've got, play to the strengths of the players we have, continue to bring on our young players, don't change the way we play to accommodate a 'big' striker. To my mind, the model is working well, we're in a better position than we've been for many years with much better prospects going forward. I know it's a big ask in these days of instant gratification, but patience is a virtue, a little more from some of our fans would be welcome.

Why because we dont want to overspend on wages? I would say doing something different to the norm is being ambitious which is what we are trying to do. Reading wigan derby are all teams recently that have overspent on wages and almost gone out on business, thats not being ambitious thats being recklessAlex crook saying Moore going to ipswich. a club showing ambition. we're clearly not that. very poor.

That in itself could be a problem for Ipswich.
How many of their lads are on fifty grand a week?
Aye but they need to sort the striker. Even the biggest supporters of the model can not excuse another window without a ready striker being brought in. It's 2 year now.
They are after one but hoping it gets sorted, THIS TIME.
Without all the facts it's difficult to excuse or condemn the club/model imo. We've no idea what players are demanding and whether signing them would disrupt the squad. Mundle has been given a four and a half year contract which is a lot of wages. Signing the wrong player, who may devalue, on such a contract is a big risk especially if that's repeated.
That's all supposition but that's all we have imo ...
... I can't remember a time when so little was leaked regarding signings, etc.
True. But 2 years is more than sufficient to bring ina striker who can perform consistently in this league. If it isn't, then something has to change. It's still a major weak area of the team and sorting it will increase our chances of progress.
They are not mate they are doing 60% of his wagesIpswich paying £30k a week for the last 14 weeks or so of the season is a hell of a lot less than we’ve paid for Mundle plus his wage so no idea why people think they’ll be breaking FFP.
I don’t think our fans on social media are right in the head. Some of our ****ing moron fans on twitter! Speakman says Mundle is an exciting signing, fan says what’s exciting about a player who has played academy games! Literally looking for **** to throw at the club hierarchy
Get your point, but what can change? If (pure speculation) a player asked for £35k a week, should we pay it just to appease? Bad for the club, but the fans are happy?True. The Stewart situation didn't help tbh.
It would have made perfect sense for us to do so if we were in Ipswich's position. But for us to shell out the good end of £2m on a player that will leave in the summer is a bit reckless. Let's see what today brings. Why because we dont want to overspend on wages? I would say doing something different to the norm is being ambitious which is what we are trying to do. Yeah, lots of things don't help but it is what it is. 2 years and 3 or 4 windows is enough time to sort and if it isn't, ideals and parameters have to change.
Anyway, they are on with one now. So hopefully it gets sorted.

if a player won’t move up here, do we agree to ferry them from London?
I don’t know if it can change. Moore would be an ideal player at this level. But he’s on £40k a week at Bournemouth or something! Crazy.

All about the money innit? Coventry paying £8m for Simms, or Ipswich paying Moore £30k pw. Just not going to happen under current ownershipTrue.
