Only transfer news about Omur in Turkey was a local newspaper from Trabzon - https://www.61saat.com/abdulkadir-omur-ingilterede-aradigini-bulamadi, stating that he was out of squad for last 5 games and Samsunspor, Besiktas, Goztepe interested in him.

It is a bit absurd, because Samsunspor is suspended, they can't complete transfers as you can see with 0 transfers in Transfermarkt this year. Goztepe is managed by same group of Southampton, so they usually go for scouting transfers or prospects that might be linked to their other clubs at some point, so Omur doesn't fit. And Besiktas has just brought Solskjaer as manager after they decided season is already lost, and they are allegedly targeting young potentials to catch up Gala and Fener in next couple of years, but there are couple of resources stating Besiktas interest.
 
Can we still sign a free agent? I’m just thinking if a LB becomes available, there should still be room for one to be added to the squad!

well that's Burstow seeing out his contract on loan to other clubs before leaving for a free or nominal, just like longman and Sinik before him, feel for the kid, obv cares and tries but not there yet for regular championship football, pretty much exactly as Sunderland fans warned us.
