Think at the time we signed him with the obligation we wouldn't have known that he wanted to be elsewhere, he was probably just desperate to get out of Luton and play.

I don't think we are looking at a RB. I think defensively it's a LB and CB.
And it's not the same Brain team. Tan is no longer DOF and it's now Dublin, with a different head of recruitment also. The clubs been restructured since October and people wondering why Tan is no longer here just need to look at the summer window for the main reason, not so much rumours on Turkish Twitter.
I’m hoping that Ruben has MUCH more of a say in transfers now, as the brain team appear brainless.
Plus Selles wants a say in who we sign from the sound of things - wants to make sure they have the right character

Completely agree with this. Forget the Chinese whispers on ****book and twatter. Tan ****ed up the summer window and has been held accountable.
Tan wasn't helped by managerial decisions making the club a tougher sell in summer. But there have been significant changes to both the recruitment team and in the dugout since then. And we're definitely going for a more pragmatic approach this January.
