I imagine we’re hoping Geldhardt has a higher potential than his stats so far suggest.

The positives are that he’s 22, has a reputation for working hard, and has more Premier League experience than most of our team combined.

If he’s ready for a fresh start, he seems a better prospect than a youth player that hasn’t had any first team experience at all.

6 goal contributions in 20 at Sunderland.

He was signed to play off Kevin Stewart but when Stewart got injured ended up leading the line.

Didn't he scored in the 4-4?

Did quite well up here.

I’ll never forget him coming on against us for Wigan aged 17. Me and my dad were like who tf is that, as I googled him to see I look up he’d skinned Kevin Stewart and buried it in the bottom corner

Kevin Stewart never played for Sunderland.

He was also a defensive midfielder.

Yeah six league goals across his career isn't brilliant on paper, but Selles obviously reckons he's got something about him. I reckon he'll do alright, if Joao Pedro is going to be the main man it makes sense to have somebody we can bring on to stretch defences once he tires and I'm sure he'll learn a lot from Pedro too.

I was expecting an actual out and out striker with some kind of goal scoring record, but we are where we are.

I like the Geldhart signing reminds me of Connolly, we always seem to do well with those sorts of players and he’s played 40 games in the prem he’s no mug

When Geldhardt joined us, he was scoring for fun in the U21s, he really was on fire. Then Bielsa with his small squad preference ruined his progress, he should have went out on loan, instead he spent an entire season not playing for the U21s and sitting on the first team bench just in case he was needed.

He needs a decent run, he needs to really play in a two up front, he’s just never fitted in, I’d prefer to be losing Bamford, at the same time Geldhardt needs to be playing out on loan, he’s not ready to start in the current Leeds team

I remember thinking Doherty was destined to be a top player for us in the championship after his season in League 1. Good job I aren’t a scout

I thought the same. He looked technically good in League 1 but at Championship level he immediately seemed like a bit of a clogger.

Some on here last week were debating whether Kamara was ready to start for ourselves against you lot, and we know how that worked out :1980_boogie_down:

On a serious note thanks for your feedback.
