If theres any striker lower than the champ who has the attributes needed to step up a level
Its barry
Would not say no

I know a fair bit about him, ever since the west brom and barca fiasco

Yeah think he's destined for higher than us after a bit of looking, looks like Leeds, Sheff U, Boro and Sunderland are fighting for him ffs.

"I heard that some people think that we are having a problem about still paying some money to Liam, and it is going from our Financial Fair Play, but it is not like that," Ilicali told Hull Live.

"Our agreement with Liam was compensation, so he is now in Ligue One in France. I wish him my best luck in this hard league and we get zero harm from that, so, again, the same. With the coaches, our agreements are always for the benefit of the club, and of course, we have to support our coaches when they leave if they don't find a job for a certain time, but if they find a job, we don't pay for it, so it is not the financial play that is damaged.

"Another thing to remember, we had a very high budget team last year and, you know, Financial Fair Play is calculated over three years, sometimes we can go up but sometimes we have to go down to balance it.

"I can guarantee our fans that we are running the club in a very healthy way and, of course, Jared (Dublin) will be, again, one part of this operation and our fans shouldn't be worried. Of course, we have limits but they shouldn't be worried that we are under the stress of financial fair play. We are managed, I think, in the top way."

This answers the FFP question over sacking Managers in quick succession, if Walter and his coaches don't find new clubs quickly is it still an issue?

As far as defensive midfield goes, Hector Kyprianou, Joe Bell or Lewis Wing would be realistic options and would improve us, adding physicality at the base of midfield and being comfortable on the ball.

Sounds like Wing is the other option from Reading we're looking at, wouldn't mind both of them. I do think we'd still need a more high calibre attacking option to supplement Knibbs though.

Knibbs doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. Was a winger originally then Sellés converted him into a number 8 at Reading. Don’t think we need anymore number 8s or 10s. We’ve got loads already and they need to start earning their salaries.

Defensive mid, pacy wingers and striker are the key areas.

Paying compensation to Liam may have been mitigated but unlikely another club will come in for Walters based on his record. Also we will have paid `Reading for Selles

We paid about 2-300k for Selles.

Someone on here suggested Walter would definitely land at another top flight club so I'm sure that'll be announced any day now.

I don’t see it as a priority this January but we need a better calibre centre-half to partner Hughes long-term. McLoughlin and Jones as squad players for the remainder of their contracts. Rodrigo Guth at Fortuna Sittard is quite good and I saw recently that Stoke and others in the Championship are interested. If we want a left-footer, Anselmo García MacNulty and Mike Eerdhuijzen are good as well and also play in Eredivisie.

Knibbs sounds to me like a good option, can play a number of positions and is meant to be very good at pressing.

There's a guy at Villa, goes by the name of Philogene, not getting much game time, loan perhaps?

Unfortunately it's highly doubtful, why would he want to come to a team at the bottom, why would villa want him to and if he's available there would be a number of teams at the top end they would take him
