His management style was not to everyone's taste but thay style of football could be devastating given the right job and players. Problem is he needed a squad like Man City to pull it off and he had Slater and Kamara.

When you think about it. Getting a bunch of young and impressionable players then pairing them with a manager known for being hotheaded may not have been the wisest decision going

Except there’s every chance that older and wiser players would have just ignored him. If there’s any truth in him ever being the left field radical style of football guru we were led to believe we’d be getting then surely impressionable is 100% what the players would have had to be?

I agree highly doubtful, but read in one of The Red Tops that he could be on the move in January and loaned out. Sometimes in spite of all the change at The City over the last 8 months, better the devil you know if you want to hit the ground running. Same could be said of Carvalho as well I surmise.
