Windows started badly then, thought we had 1 at least lined up

This always happens and we're surprised every time. Baz loves to fall for the over-optimistic timescale and share it.

If someone was going to be signing in the next two days, we'd almost certainly know who he was by now. They don't just come out of nowhere these days.

I’d much rather Longman over Kamara. How much did Kamara cost us? Yikes. Longman isnt amazing but Hearts? He can do better than them surely, they’re second bottom.

Mehlem was suited to TW as we didn’t play through the midfield but he seemed to pop up in good areas, not sure he gets near the time now so makes to get a loan fee and frees up space for someone.

I think Pedro is a decent member of the squad, he's really good on the ball but he's having to pick up slack deeper in the midfield because they're not working hard enough to get him the ball. We need somebody like Hackney who just keeps the ball in midfield as well as the other bits. We also need to look at getting a proper left back in, this idea of playing right backs at left back isn't helping our cause.

Can we have a new right back while we're about it..?

He needs to be playing with another striker, he’s a proper good larker but he’s absolutely wasted tiring himself running around chasing and challenging for hopeless lost causes when he’d about as fast as a tortoise and has the upper body strength of an egg. He needs to be playing in a free role where he can be dropping off, finding space and picking up the ball more often, which he can’t do when he’s leading the line in his own.

We need some proven Champ experiences to help us start grinding out some results, but presumably the majority of incomings will only happen if we can shift some of the existing players on first.

Rushworth, Bedia and Burns should all to return to their parent clubs.

We should also try get some of our own youth out of loan too;
- TLT or Cartwright,
- Jacob (if we bring in a new LB, although at 23 I think there's an argument to get rid entirely),
- Vaughan,
- Jarvis (again, at 22 if he's not good enough now, will he ever be?).

I wouldn't be disappointed to see Longman, Omur or Sinik (hah) leave on perms.

That's a lot of movement for January though and realistically is it worth the disruption given the BS about players needing time to gel - we don't have that luxury right now.

Pedro shouldn't be more than 3rd choice striker in the Championship. Like Billy Sharp was he is an experienced player who has something still to offer but at this level is now no better than a back up option or someone you would throw on with 10 mins to go.

The fact we are using him to lead our line shows just what a terrible position we are in.
