Yep. I'd be very surprised if he ever played there for us. Firstly, he sounds exactly the kind of player you wouldn't trust in a defensive position in this league. Secondly, Selles has repeatedly said he's happy with McLoughlin at left back, he keeps reaffirming that he's been our best full back lately. Fans have a problem with left back and want a solution to it but Selles doesn't.

As for his fitness, Baz did say that Lincoln was available for the first time on Saturday and still not picked. I think he's probably this year's awkward Acun signing and we'll barely see him play.

He’s already missed four out of our remaining 18 games due to ‘lack of fitness’ when he arrived and we’re in a relegation scrap. It’s a loan so it’s not like it’s an investment for the future. He better be the dog’s bollocks for these remaining 14 games then.

Selles doesnt see macca there fulltime
Our recruitment messed up in jan
But i agree selles views him as our current best left back

Its probably the number 1 target for summer

As for lincoln
Not interested in the talk
Lets see if he can even walk

In the games he's played there it's the other defenders who've worried me more. Jones having to play left centre back looks really awkward and Egan in general looks less comfortable on the ball than any centre back we've had for a while.

id be in favour of a back 5 to be honest, you’re not wrong in what you say. The defence is way off it in general.

Can't see Selles wanting to play a back 3/5 when he's so in favour of high pressing. But also where would our new marquee signing Barry fit in if we did that?

I agree with you on the first point. Barry played a bit upfront for Stockport I believe

That's fine, I'm just referring to Amin getting negative on Selles during the Norwich game and we're now going to get a series of posts from him demonstrating just how off him he is.
