I have a dozen years on Marcos and can go back further. Wierd really as I can remember loads of stuff about the squad Revie had, playing on sand from October to March, filthy kits, sliding tackles started 20 yards away and finishing 10 yards beyond the flying tackled player. Comb-over haircuts from some players, players smoking in the dressing room and in interviews, bawdy limericks in the players bath, empty bottles floating around in said bath. Struggle now though to remember names of people I worked with

55 my arse.................those drugs are really messing with your memory.Not an age off thing because I don’t know when you were born but I am only just 55. I would only have been four and a half and genuinely can’t remember watching it live, even if I did. Watched it through many times since - it was more of a background perspective to my thoughts now
I was 8 when I watched the 72 final, at a Leeds Utd supporting relatives house on a colour TV, I know posh. So I got the bug since then really. Although I think I remember black and white highlights of our 10 goals against Lyn Oslo. But I could have dreamt that. 73 was horrible because somehow my Uncle got the cup to his house where my cousin was photographed with it( he's a scum fan so I dont talk to him. As for the 75 final I was in tears at the end.
