Stats mean fk all ... I've seen exactly two Rasmus crosses actually put onto the penalty spot ... just because he attempts a cross doesn't mean it's a cross ... also, stats don't show where on the pitch he "crossed" from or what happened to the ball
I say again, having watched every Leeds game this season, I have only seen Rasmus put in two proper crosses ... the rest aren't worth being called crosses
The thing about being in the Prem is all these fkn TV pundit wannabes rolling out stat after stat after stat ... the only stat that matters is the final score ... it's not about how many dribbles Harrison made, or how many shots Rodrigo had, it's about how they affected the game in key moments ... Revie never said to his players that they average 11.75 shots per game and their xG is 1.09 and they needed to improve xG to win the title!!
Stats have gone overboard, 95% of them are meaningless (there's a meaningful stat for you) and they're being thrown around to make idiot pundits like Karen and Jake sound clever, which they're not ... listen to McCoist on commentary, no stats just a feel for how the game is shaping up and how certain players are influencing the flow of play
Ramus has done very little to influence games as a wing back this season, he rarely gets up to the opposition penalty area to create the extra man or to get down to the byline for a cut back ... that's the issue, that's why I said he's only put in two crosses, because they were two crosses that mattered ... if I wanted to stats it up I would have, but what's the point as it's only numbers on paper with no real meaning to it
The stat of 27 crosses is definitely not representative of Rasmus this season, because nobody on here can actually "feel" that he's been that busy down the wing ... in fact there was a debate about how ineffective Rasmus has been going forward, because that's what people saw
Rasmus has definitely not looked like a 27 crosses wing back, nowhere near, so the stat means zero (another meaningful stat)
