Agreed. This is why I was always a fan of Hingis - she won games through craft and skill rather than raw power.
In an odd way I think the Williams domination almost devalues the women's game. When the best woman player's greatest asset is her dominant power the women's game starts to seem very similar to the men's game and - as you know she'd likely get overpowered by the top 200 male players - it just makes the women's game seem inferior.

Great day of sport altogether tomorrow...Wimbledon, F1, and European final.
Going to have to record Wimbledon as the Grand Prix won't have finished, which means staying off here.
Gordon Reid in wheelchair singles already interrupted by rain. Just said that these wheelchairs cost 6-10K, but Houdet who went out yesterday paid 100K for his made to measure chair!
Reid 1 set up and has just broken his opponent in the 2nd set. Prefer doubles though because there are longer rallies and the waving of the chairs is so skilful.
Reid wins in straight sets....first male wheelchair Wimbledon singles champion. And also won doubles yesterday.
Saying he caught transverse myelitis at 13 yr old and spent 6 months completely paralyzed in hospital..before regaining some movement. Well done to him.

And interesting to pick up snippets about wheelchair tennis. Apparently the players have been concerned about the extra work involved in playing on grass....Reid practiced by having his chair tied to bungee cords to work on his strength. It's now a big sport with events almost every week, but it is a very expensive sport with the equipment involved. Noticed that Reid had a spare chair courtside....not cheap at 6-10K a pop.
