Aluko makes a big difference, at least MG knows his best 11 and their best positions!

Playing Donacien at LB is a mistake. Should be Penney or Clements there, they can at least deliver left footed crosses. Both Janoi and Kane struggled to help in attack from the left side.
Burgess and Edmundson make the defence look more comfortable than when Nsiala plays.
Well, hard fought scrappy draw but we can hold heads high, and valuable point in the grand scheme of things.
Impressed by McG's changes and subs. Unlike someone else we can mention, tactically he knew who to bring on to make a dfference and we controlled large periods of play 2nd half. Norwood cements his position for now.

Still way too much hoofball today, Forwards couldn't hold it up and midfield two too far back to assist. Not enough width, KVY timid in the first half, Donacien is too right footed to be effective on the left. Janoi much better on the right in the second half. Chaplin not a wide player, Edwards just bloody useless again.
Drop Bonne and Pigott, play Norwood and Aluko or Chaplin up front. Need Burns and Celina back for the wide positions.

Nah he’s a decent stopper but his distribution is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. We can do much better.

the team sheet has more questions than answers. Edward’s was useless. With two sitting mids the only outlet is the wings and he did nadda.
let’s get the new man (or woman) in and see what their formation is then we can have a better idea what positions are up for change and who we have that might be redeployed to better effect.

Agree 100%,Norwood hassled, bullied and got into good positions. Oh and a goal too, what are they?! Edwards has been given masses of game time and glitters to deceive,no flatters...But no good at end of day in delivery time again. Bring back Celina out wide and hopefully Burns out right. I am beginning to see some light at end of a long tunnel. I do wish we didnt have so many mid-week games. Sunderland up next, and we steam off up north for another Weds night match. They got knocked out 1st round.
