I'm sure Pardew would love to go, in fact I'm guessing he's desperate for the exit. But he won't walk out with nothing, and ashley probably can't afford to sack him, so it's a bit of a Mexican stand off. Mind you, iof they can follow the point at Swansea with a win at home to Leicester, perhaps they can turn things around.

Yes I think that is right. Maybe Ashley feels like Pardew is a safety barrier between him and the fans, because he is the real bad guy there.
Always thought it was an odd decision to award such a long contract. He was never going to be an Alex Ferguson or Arsene Wenger. Take those two out and normally a couple of years is the most you can hope for.
