Take care Tees,
You've done all the right things.
Felt ill
Got a test
Positive result.
Straight into self isolation.
Good man, wish half the country was as conscientious as you.
Keep posting and the lads will help get you through it.
Sad thing is, none of these restrictions were known about when I had the symptoms. Way back early February fir me. Wasn’t told anything. But my symptoms weren’t official “symptoms” then. (I’ve had a positive antibodies test)

had I known about it, I’d have done the same. Well done Tees for isolation. Look after yourself mate. Hope you get through this like I have

I had it in March/April. Ended up in hospital on oxygen for 10 days. It was a real eye opener for a lad who’s 46 yrs old and had been fit with no other health issues. I am going for chest X-rays in a couple of weeks as my lungs are still ****ed and I’m knackered climbing a set of stairs.
A friend who’s 26 currently has it and keeps thinking she’s recovering before it hits her again like a ton of brick with severe headaches, lethargy and temperatures. She’s had it for two weeks now.
Yesterday another good friend died of covid and had not had other health problems before this. He was similar age to me.
All in all, if you catch it, don’t be flippant. Most aren’t suffering badly but be aware of the very real possibility that things could go pear shaped and make sure you look after yourselves properly.
Seek help if you need it.

My mother had it, it killed her.

A neighbour across the road had it in March/April, survived but has been ill since.. long covid it is labelled cos its not understood yet.

A golfing partner had it ( a retired orthopaedic surgeon, involved with Sunderland, still has a season ticket), he was hospitalised, very bad experience, was asked if he wanted dnr... furious he was, now playing golf again.

Bobby Ball by the looks of it. RIP

So this awful covid business has sent Large & Ball (RIP) up there and left Little & Cannon down here.

This news should prompt folk like Norman Pace, Jennifer Saunders, Robert Webb, & Bob Mortimer to start self isolation.

As of this morning I’m sound, I’d go as far as saying I feel really well.

Still struggling for sleep mind, which I’m not aware of as one of the symptoms. I never have bother sleeping I’m quite a ****ing content chap.

Im glad to hear your feeling ok mate. I was and still am the opposite to you. I cant get enough sleep at the moment.
I usually average about 6 hours a night, but im doubling that now. I slept 13 hours last night.

It can vary massively from one person to another. Some of my colleagues have antibodies but don't remember ever being ill. Myself, I felt terrible for nigh on 6 weeks but not bad enough for hospital. I lost my sense of taste and smell around 4/5 days after my symptoms started. It came back very slowly about 4 weeks after that but even now 25 weeks later I still can't taste or smell some things properly. Some things have a weird background smell that's the same as each other. Coffee, farts, sometimes beef when it's cooking have this strange smell included that was never there before and smells the same for each. They all have similar smells to previous included but they aren't as strong anymore. It's really ****ing weird.
I have colleagues who still struggle with doing anything more than walking around, start on stairs or try and increase anything form a stroll and they struggle shortly after. Another is still off work and he's been off around 21 weeks now with high blood pressure, breathlessness, heart palpitations and one or two other things on top.
I hope you aren't too bad with it, the ongoing issues is only with a few that I know who have had it so you should be ok as I know lots more who weren't badly affected as opposed to those who were. It's pretty random as well, massively overweight colleagues with heart issues had a sniffle so to speak. I know some who run marathons and are young who struggled for quite a while and ended up off work for 2 months

My smell and taste is definitely getting weirder since this post two weeks ago. Things like satsumas, apples, certain bread types and a few others are getting this strange smell/taste added into them that wasn't there before. Really difficult to describe but metally/burnt is the best way I can although that doesn't really explain it very well. It's annoying as hell as I don't enjoy food as I did before but I could be a lot worse off than I am.
My mate at work who still isn't back (23 weeks now since he had initial symptoms) had a blood pressure earlier this week of 197 over 122 sat doing absolutely nothing, he's been getting various meds for his BP but as soon as it looks like it's helped it goes through the roof again. Absolutely no end in sight for him and the issues he's been getting. I'm gutted for him.
