The Man City game was a wasted chance to give Luer another run out though he was pretty unlucky to be paired with Aluko today. He nearly scored with 20 secs of coming on which would have qualified as one of Bruceys best ever substitutions but you can see he still lacks confidence in certain situations. Certainly not as bad as King Chazz is making out in his inebriated state
Why is it you start making out posters are drunk when you don't agree with them?

It's ****ing playground childish bollocks and makes you look like a twat.

Feather stone!!! Eh. When??
I would have started Luer today. But after seeing him and if my nuts were in the vice I wouldn't pick him.

06/07 when he was about 18 he got a few sub appearances in league games. One was against Burnley from memory. Nowadays an 18 year old academy product wouldn't even be allowed to train in the same postcode as the first team.

Akpom and Hayden are both 20. They play because they're better than our academy players. Simple as

How do we know? How many times has Luer not impressed when given a chance? Now compare that number to Akpom and Aluko...
We don't but Brucey and his team see them in training every day. That's the difference.
Clemence is at all the ressies games watching the youth.

Seven changes were made to give important players much needed game time, the team was also obviously selected to provide a reasonable chance of progression in this much maligned and neglected competition. Surely all this adds up to good sense plus respect for the FA cup which it is a pity more teams do not show.

If that's the case then Clemence is at fault too, anybody there today could have seen that Hayden should have been getting a few more games than he has done, those games we lost v Rotherham/Preston/Leeds were because Meyler/Livermore were playing relentlessly when one of them at least could have been rested. Luer should have played against Man City after playing the previous rounds, that was a massive opportunity lost for the lad to progress.

On a day when multiple clubs will be giving youth a chance and we're talking 17 year olds here, Hull City had the chance to do the same. Recognition for the hours put in, experience and an opportunity to play at the KC and to show the manager who perhaps hasn't even seen them that they are worth a second look….. BUT oh no!!!!…. The only one to get near the game is/was Greg Luer and guess what, h';s sat on his arse. We've seen interest from Everton thats Everton Steve Bruce in one of the academy players, but does he get even a glimpse of the team sheet no!!!!!… This cup competition should mean nothing to us this season and should have been an opportunity to blood young talent.

It strikes me, that the only thing Bruce recognises because he cannot address his own inadequacies is a pint of lager and a pork pie…
Some good points Tigerscave , but right now I think you have to appreciate there's a bit of politics mixed in with Bruce's team selections. Until January is over he has to keep a lot of players happy.

What are th good points in the pile of ****e he posted?

Luer should have started today. We do need to keep our best young players feeling positive about their future here and this competition is low priority to us this season.
Did you see the game? Do you ever come and see any game? Luer looked out of his depth. I'd liked to see I'm play but he didn't look good when he came on.
You said points?
You think it's ok for a wum, as that's what he is, to continually post ****e on this forum.

Go back over his, tony harpers, bojacks, Simon grays, posts and its constant negativity towards bruceand the team. Always looking for any negative they can find.
Not that they actually go mind.

I was there today and I can tell you categorically that you are talking absolute nonsense about Luer, he nearly scored with his first touch and would have scored if Aluko had set him up when he had made the perfect supporting run into the box.

That's why he picked Aluko ahead of Greg, shop window time like Swanny pointed out (rightly for a change) before the match

I thought we played some excellent football today
The cup games seem to be a lot better value for money ( Middlesboro aside)
