Still at school (so do nothing all day, FIFA in the evenings, footy and rugby at the weekends). No idea what to do when I leave, although every one of my teachers says I should do the Law course at Oxford. I prefer Modern History though - if anyone has any questions about the Eastern Front in WW2 I'm your guy!

oh I forgot, I make signs <laugh>

That delivery sign was just down the road from me too although I never went to see it! lol
Wasn't it something like, [bla bla English bit] PLUS I'm out of office so can't reply to emails?

With Welsh if you don't speak (or remotely understand) it, there's every chance of ballsing it up.
I do a lot of bilingual stuff and the Welsh is ALWAYS almost twice as much as the English equivalent
so it's easy to expect 5 words when 1 or 2 will do. Hope the poor bugger didn't lose his job having
become a national laughing stock anyhow; many in the business would quietly laugh their heads off
behind closed doors when something like this happens!

No, it just means "Sorry I'm not in my office atm, please try again later" (or equivalent)

And yes, Welsh does look like bollocks if you don't speak it.

Poor blighter probably received the email back from the translator and used the words he'd been given
to meet some predictably silly unreasonable deadline!

When there are regular typos on the front cover of the The Times newspaper most days, what hope
has the English language got now standards are constantly slipping let alone foreign stuff! We'll all
have to learn Chinese once they own everything in 20 years time though...

Most bizarre work I've had to endure recently is a technical sales brochure from my English design
layout to Arabic whose pictorial swirls reads all arse backwards but used English numerals and tables.
Man, that kept me on my toes. <laugh>
