I don't like seeing dog **** left on paths etc, but to be honest plastic bags are worse. Not only are they environmentally disasterous, worse still some people pick up the **** in a bag, then fling the bag in a hedge !
Generally I tend to get a couple of sticks or stones and flick the turd into the undergrowth, where it will break down naturally and be eaten by slugs and snails etc.
Personally I think there's a bit of OTT hysteria about dog ****.
The council down here used to have little bag dispenser at each gate to the parks. Now, for some mad cost cutting exercise, they don't. Which has led to more dog **** about the place of course.
You can buy these rolls of scented bio degradable bags, they cost not a lot. She gets them, I've no idea where they come from.
I'm as guilty as anyone of 'failing' to see the dogs **** in the bushes though. I'm not going marauding into the undergrowth to pick up some **** no one will strand in anyway.
